PERSONAL PROFILE
I am a third year Mechanical Engineering undergraduate student seeking a graduate job. I have had experience in CAD, CAM and programming along with workshop manufacturing and tooling.

SKILLS
Communication Good at working with people in team based activities. Can take instructions well and work with initiative, diligently and act with responsibility. Formula Student -In my first year at Portsmouth University, I got involved with a project called Formula Student. It is an extracurricular event that challenges university students from all round the world to design and build a single seater racing car in their spare time. At the end of the year, the teams compete at Silverstone race circuit in time based challenges. This includes a skid pad, acceleration test and finally, an endurance race to end the weekend which was the ultimate test for the cars. My Primary Task- to alter the design of the exhaust tubes to fit the engine and chassis. I had to ensure the tubes exited in the correct places so that the muffler and tip could be mounted properly. To get the tubes in the correct layout I needed to use various tools such as an angle grinder and hacksaw. I also helped the other sub-teams to make and install their parts. My involvement in this project helped me further understand the theory I had learnt on my course and how to apply it successfully. Not only did it help me understand the mechanics behind a vehicle, I was able to improve on my teamwork, communication and manual skills that have provided me with valuable experience.

Computer Skills I am proficient in Word Processing, Excel, PowerPoint, Video Animation, CAD/CAM systems and other general computer tasks. Any problems I have with my computer, I generally fix myself or get assistance from experienced computer technicians on internet forums. I also welcome people coming to me if they have a computer problem and I will try my best to help them.

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

Its solutions span enterprise content, document management, risk management and compliance management. During my time at Hitec, I was employed as a Junior Test Engineer working on the new development of their flagship product DataStore DSX. The work involved: Top-Down Testing, Bottom-up Testing and System Testing to analyse the outputs generated from data imported to the application, to see if the expected results are correct for over 1000 different import combinations. I had regular meetings with the QA Manager to explain my results of the tests. This enabled the development teams to make corrections to the software, if required.

I was able to further develop my testing, communication and report writing skills, as well as appreciate the experience of product testing in a real world environment. ASSISTANT MECHANIC COURTNEY COACHES, BRACKNELL, BERKSHIRE NOVEMBER 2007 For work experience as part of my second GCSE year, I worked as an assistant mechanic at Courtney Coaches.
