9th April 2007

A. Aborted Engine Start 1. ENGINE START LEVER (affected engine) - CUTOFF

B. Airspeed Unreliable 1. AIRPLANE ATTITUDE / THRUST - ADJUST Maintain airplane control. Attitude & thrust information provide in Performance-Inflight section 2. PITOT STATIC HEAT - CHECK ON 3. MACH / AIRSPEED INDICATORS - CROSS CHECK

C. Cabin Altitude Warning or Rapid Depressurization 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. OXYGEN MASKS - DON OXYGEN REGULATORS - Set to 100% CREW COMMUNICATIONS - ESTABLISH PRESSURIZATION MODE SELECTOR - MAN AC/MAN OUTFLOW VALVE SWITCH - CLOSE Hold in CLOSE until outflow Valve indicates fully closed If Pressurization is Not Controllable 6. PASSENGER SIGNS - ON 7. PASSENGER OXYGEN SWITCH - ON If cabin altitude exceeds or is expected to exceed 14,000 feet

Emergency Descent Checklist Carry out an emergency descent if cabin pressure cannot be controlled above 14,000 feet or a rapid descent is needed.

D. Emergency Descent 1. EMERGENCY DESCENT - ANNOUNCE The pilot flying will advise the cabin crew, on PA system, of impending rapid descent. The pilot monitoring will advise ATC and obtain area altimeter setting. 2. PASSENGERS SIGN - ON 3. DESCENT - INITIATE Without delay, descend to the lowest safe altitude or 10,000 feet, whichever is higher. 4. ENGINE START SWITCHES (both) - CONT 5. THRUST LEVERS (both) - REDUCE Reduce thrust to minimum or as required for anti-ice 6. SPEED BRAKE - FLIGHT DETENT 7. TARGET SPEED - MMO / VMO If structural integrity is in doubt, limit speed as much as possible and avoid high maneuvering loads

E. Engine Fire or Engine Severe Damage or Separation 1. 2. 3. 4. AUTOTHROTTLE (if engaged) - DISENGAGE THRUST LEVER (affected engine) - CONFIRM - CLOSE ENGINE START LEVER (affected engine) - CONFIRM - CUTOFF ENGINE FIRE SWITCH - CONFIRM - PULL To manually unlock the engine fire switch, press the override and pull If the engine fire switch or ENG OVERHEAT light stays illuminated 5. ENGINE FIRE SWITCH - ROTATE Rotate to the stop and hold for one second If after 30 seconds the engine fire switch or ENG OVERHEAT light stays illuminated

6. ENGINE FIRE SWITCH - ROTATE Rotate to the other stop and hold for one second

F. Engine Limit / Surge / Stall 1. AUTOTHROTTLE (if engaged) - DISENGAGE 2. THRUST LEVER (affected engine) - CONFIRM - RETARD Retard until indications remain within limits or thrust lever is closed

G. Engine Overheat 1. AUTOTHROTTLE (if engaged) - DISENGAGE 2. THRUST LEVER (affected engine) - CONFIRM - CLOSE If the ENG OVERHEAT light stays illuminated 3. ENGINE START LEVER (affected engine) - CONFIRM - CUTOFF 4. ENGINE FIRE SWITCH - CONFIRM - PULL To manually unlock the engine fire switch, press the override and pull If the engine fire switch or ENG OVERHEAT light stays illuminated 5. ENGINE FIRE SWITCH - ROTATE Rotate to the stop and hold for one second If after 30 seconds the engine fire switch or ENG OVERHEAT light stays illuminated 6. ENGINE FIRE SWITCH - ROTATE Rotate to the other stop and hold for one second

H. Loss of Thrust on Both Engines 1. ENGINE START SWITCHES (both) - FLT 2. ENGINE START LEVERS (both) - CUTOFF EGT decreasing 3. ENGINE START LEVERS (both) - IDLE DETENT If EGT reaches 930oC or no increase in EGT within 30 seconds:

4. ENGINE START LEVER (affected engine) - CONFIRM - CUTOFF - IDLE DETENT If EGT again reaches 930oC or no increase in EGT within 30 seconds: 5. Repeat as Needed

I. Runaway Stabilizer 1. CONTROL COLUMN - HOLD FIRMLY 2. AUTOPILOT (if engaged) - DISENGAGE Do not re-engage the autopilot. Control airplane pitch attitude manually with control column and main electric trim as needed If the Runaway Continues 3. STAB TRIM CUTOUT SWITCHES (both) - CUTOUT If the Runaway Continues 4. STABILIZER TRIM WHEEL - GRASP and HOLD

J. Uncommanded Roll 1. AUTOPILOT (if engaged) - DISENGAGE 2. AIRPLANE CONTROL - MAINTAIN Maintain control of the airplane with all available flight controls. If roll is uncontrollable, immediately reduce pitch/angle of attack and increase airspeed. Do not attempt to maintain altitude until control is recovered 3. AUTO THROTTLE (if engaged) - DISENGAGE 4. THRUST - VERIFY SYMMETRICAL

K. APU Fire 1. APU FIRE SWITCH - CONFIRM - PULL - ROTATE Rotate to the stop and hold for 1 second 2. APU Switch - OFF

L. Overspeed - Warning Clacker

Reduce airspeed to less than VMO/MMO by: - Reducing Thrust - Adjusting Attitude (if required)
