The opening of the Lady of the Daisies exhibition

Dear Partners & Friends, We are very proud to share with you some impressions from a truly unforgettable evening: The exhibition opening of "Lady of the Daisies - A Tribute to Lea Gottlieb 1918-2012" . This event is a significant milestone for our company. The work on this exhibition began more than six months ago after founding the Gottex Archives, with the process of sorting and selecting exhibits from the thousands of items in Mrs. Gottlieb's and Gottexs archives. In addition to work meetings at her home, Mrs. Gottlieb had the opportunity of visiting the museum and taking part in weaving the dream of an exhibition in her honor before she passed away. Curated by fashion researcher Mrs. Ayala Raz, this aspect of the exhibition pays direct homage to the life and work of Mrs. Lea Gottlieb.

Establishing the Gottex archives: Throughout the years Gottex's magnificent legacy was scattered around the world and in dark storerooms, we started to gather all those precious items Old catalogs, editorials publicities, correspondence of Mr. & Mrs. Gottlieb, letters from queens and princesses who wore Gottex, films, pictures, Gottex's wonderful artwork etc. We recruited a skilled team including Mrs. Sissi Rosenbaum Barda, Mrs. Gottlieb's right hand woman for over 30 years, her confidant who has represented Mrs. Gottlieb's spirit throughout the establishment of the Gottex archive and the development of the exhibition, as well as a trained archivist professional with years of experience Ms. Milca Har Tal, and a senior designer Mrs. Galit Eshkol, who was responsible for the artistic research, and with the help of Ms. Esti Shimon and Ms. Dana Kalmar the newest member in the Marcom department the Gottex Archives and their collections are organized and accessible. After establishing the exhibition in the Design Museum of Holon, we are now working on finishing the registration process of all the archive items. All items are being scanned and digitalized and then being registered. In addition to that we bought an archive computer software and are going to upload all the materials online. We believe that it not only will help our creative team in the process of learning our magnificent legacy but also will allow access for students and academic representatives who want to learn about Gottex's heritage.

So what next? We are now examining, with the cooperation of the DMH, the possibility of making Lady of the Daisies a wandering exhibition around the world. Our long term goal of the Heritage project is establishing a permanent visiting center here in Israel, providing a true "Gottex Experience" past, present & future for visitors and tourists from all around the world. A company who does not cherish her past cannot have a bright future so now Gottex's future seems much brighter. Yariv Bernblum Marcom Manager Gottex Swimwear Brands
