id you notice? Today is called the Second Sunday of Easter, not the First Sunday after Easter. Our celebration of Easter is not over. These Sundays of Easter continue to present the mystery of Jesus Christs victory. The readings begin with the signs and wonders abounding in those earliest days. Sick people lay in the street, hoping that at least Peters shadow might fall on one or another of them. Then, in a powerful passage from the book of Revelation, the visionary falls down as though dead upon seeing the victorious Christ. But Christ extends a gentle touch: Do not be afraid . . . once I was dead, but now I am alive forever. In the Gospel, that same Christ appears and breathes on the disciples, and gently leads Thomas to believe. This Christmore powerful than any evil force, victorious over death itselftouches us and whispers, Do not be afraid.

St. Francis Borgia School could use some recycled paper. This paper is used to make copies of worksheets and handouts the teachers use in their classrooms. Recycled paper is also used in the office copy machine. This is one of the ways we save on using good paper. It helps keep costs down and saves trees as well. If you have paper that is clean on one side, has nothing inappropriate printed on the other side, and is flat (not bent or curled), and has not been stapled, we can use it! If you have letterhead that can no longer be used, we can use it! Please drop your paper donations at the school office on any regular school day between the hours of 8:15 a.m. and 2:40 p.m. Please come to the doors on Panama Avenue and ring the bell. Thank you for your continued support of our school!
