Adult Faith Formation: The 6 session of the Psalm Study continues this week on Thursday at 6:30 PM, and on Friday at 10:30 AM. Faith Formation Material: Keeping in mind that the Easter Season lasts for 50 days, we provide publications to enable you to nurture your faith. On the table near the loft stairs are the Little White Book, for the Easter season, the April issues of At Home with our Faith and Catholic Update entitled Peace on Earth: Gods Dream, Our Task, the weekly Keeping the Seasons handout and coloring and activity sheets for children. Help yourself to what youll read. Spencer County Food Pantry: The local food pantry distributes more than non-perishable food. We have learned that they are in dire need of personal hygiene items, as well as laundry and cleaning supplies. Please drop off toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, bath soap, paper products, detergent, etc., in the baskets outside the parish offices. Thank you. St. Francis Xaviers Annual Spring Bunco will be held on Thursday, April 11 , at 7:00 PM, in their Parish Hall. Sponsored by their Womens Club, the cost to play is $10, which includes refreshments and lots of great prizes. Marian Shrine: We thank Michael Richards for designing, organizing and planting the new landscaping around our shrine to our Blessed Mother Mary as his Eagle Scout project. Read more about it the May issue of the newsletter. Preventing Child Abuse is Everyones Responsibility: April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Did you know that every adult has a moral responsibility to report suspected child abuse? In Kentucky, state law requires that any person who knows or has reasonable cause to believe that a child is neglected or abused must immediately report the abuse. Sexual abuse of minors is a pervasive societal problem and only concerted and sustained efforts by all adults in every segment of society can help to protect children and youth. Adam Carricos Diaconate Ordination will be celebrated by Archbishop Joseph Kurtz on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Aloysius Catholic Church, 212 Mt. Mercy Drive, Pewee Valley, Kentucky 40056. This ordination precedes his ordination to priesthood. The people of the archdiocese are encouraged to attend this joyful celebration.
