This document provides a step-by-step installation of ETAP 7.5.0 and the User Guide. The installation program installs ETAP and all of its components including libraries, example and help files. It also installs the ETAP License Manager since all standalone and network keys use this service to provide authorization for ETAP 7.5.0. The ETAP License Manager 7.5.0 is compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit computers and earlier versions of ETAP. For 64-bit computers, the ETAP 1600-USB Security Key is required. Please contact sales@etap.com for any key replacement.
Activation Code
After installation, ETAP 7.5.0 may prompt you for an Activation Code. Existing User: If you are upgrading from ETAP 7.1.0 to 7.5.0, please note that ETAP 7.5.0 will utilize the same 36-character code as provided with the ETAP 7.1 release. If you are installing ETAP from a version earlier than 7.1, the activation code is located on your new ETAP 7.5.0 DVD sleeve. If you cannot locate your code, please contact your sales representative at sales@etap.com. New User: If you are installing ETAP for the first time, the activation code is located on your new ETAP 7.5.0 DVD sleeve. To install ETAP, you must have Administrative Access to your computer. For Windows Vista operating systems, it is recommended to turn off the User Account Control (UAC) and the firewall during the installation.
