Budget to date: bag tag cost was approximately of expected cost, while MGA Spring Opener cost was slightly higher due to higher turnout. The 501(c)(7) application was accepted and we are authorized to operate as a non-profit organization. Roger noted that the membership is currently 195 full members (9) and 43 associates (3). Mike Peters noted that the membership at Antelope Hills is 189, with only 11 new members this year. A motion was made and the Treasurers Report was approved by voice vote. OLD BUSINESS: 1. Bag Tags: Tags have been received and are being issued. A list of those eligible for the tags has been provided to the Pro Shop, and names are being checked off as tags are issued. Only those members who paid dues prior to January 1st are eligible to receive the new tags. 2. Menu for Spring Dinner Meeting Deal reported that the Spring Dinner on June 18th will be a plated dinner with 3 entre choices Salmon, Chicken Marsala and 10-oz. Sirloin. Price for the meal has come in slightly under the approved budget amount of $35/meal. The dinner is scheduled for June 18th, from 5:30 9:00. Notifications are planned to be sent out in mid-May. 3. Club Expo: Deal reminded everyone about the Club-within-a-club Expo scheduled for this Sunday April 7th. The MGA will be sharing a table with the WGA, and handouts will include the 2013 Tournament Schedule as well as a membership application. Current volunteers include Dave F., Ray, Deal and Charlie. John Weaver threatened to compromise our success with his presence, albeit a little late. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Guest Speaker: Deal arranged a guest speaker, Nancy Page, to address the MGA Board regarding Honor Flight for WWII veterans. Nancy is a local resident and VP Board Member for Honor Flight AZ. Honor Flight provides free flights and trips for WWII veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit the WWII memorial. The WWII Memorial was unveiled in 2004 and Honor Flight was initiated soon thereafter. Honor Flight AZ has been in operation for about 4 years, providing no cost flights for veterans who are now 90+ years old (see attached fliers). 1

Honor Flight AZ started in Prescott, is now statewide, makes approximately 8 flights per year, and is making its 22nd flight from AZ. There are over 300 veterans on the AZ waiting list, but HF-AZ is now experiencing about a 40% mortality of those remaining on the list veterans passing away before their name is called to go on an Honor Flight. HF-AZ was meeting with the MGA to seek help and donations for the upcoming golf charity event at Antelope Hills on June 22nd. Nancy is seeking teams of golfers to sign up for the event, as well as auction items and tee sponsors. If interested, it is also possible to sponsor either a named or unnamed veterans trip. John and Greg agreed that the club could offer a round of golf for 4 for the tournament. It was decided to defer discussion and the MGA support for the event until next months MGA Board meeting. 2. Board of Governors Update: Deal provided an update of the March BOG meeting. Membership has steadily increased from 370 in January to the current level of 384. Social memberships are now available through reference by current members, but will not be advertised. The Greens Committee reported that an cost analysis was conducted of the 2012 golf course bunker work, indicating that it cost $2.61/ft2 by the contractor vs. a cost of $1.05/ft2 for work performed by internal grounds crews. The Member Satisfaction Survey will be issued to all members in the very near future. 3. Mysterious Masters Update: Jim Molinari indicated that all systems are go for the tournament this weekend. He solicited for a few remaining volunteers to help support the tournament and John offered his outside services staff to help support the event. There are 72 people signed up for the event (48 men/24 women). MANAGEMENT: 1. Club Manager: Greg Paydock reported that current golf membership was approximately 389 members, although he expects 8 resignations to occur in April. Financially March was a good month. He discussed changes and promotions within the F&B staff. He provided an update on Hassayampa, indicating that Desert Troon is no longer involved and there are no plans to open or operate the course. He indicated that APGM has no interest in the project. In response to questions from the MGA, discussion was held regarding changes to group tee-times, specifically rumors about Saturday group play. Greg reported that management had been evaluating member complaints regarding no prime tee-times since last summer. As the largest organization affiliated with the golf course, the MGA offered to participate in further study and review of possible solutions to the issue. Greg accepted our offer and MGA representatives will be President Hembree and Vice-President Weaver. 2. Director of Golf: John Gunby provided an updated calendar of golf operations and events. He noted that the major change was to revise the date for the Glow Ball tournament (now Saturday, May 25th) to have it occur on a full moon, so that he and Ingrid could officially howl at the moon to commence the event. He also noted that the WGA had given up their regular play day on July 4th, which would now be an open play day. John updated the MGA on the Disabled Veterans Golf Program, which is going very well with 3 DVs and strong support from him and club members. He is preparing an after graduation program, including certificates for the veterans who complete the program and working with the Antelope Hills Pro for discounted greens fees to allow these vets a chance to continue to play. He also reported that the Clubs Disabled Veterans Committee has established an account with Wells Fargo to provide tax deductible forms for all members who contribute to this program. He will be working with VAs Paula Moran to recap the first session and evaluate improvements for the next session.

The Special Olympics program is also getting ready to resume on April 14th. There are 10 new athletes (for a total of ~25) who will meet once a month here at Prescott Lakes, and beginning in August will meet once a week at Antelope Hills. It was also noted that it was Johns birthday, granting him near senior citizen status. H e has been eligible for senior discounts at Dennys for several years now, and his favorite day of the month is the senior discount day at Frys. COMMITTEE REPORTS: 1. Tournament: Jim Molinari reported that the next event is the Monster Day tournament on May 11th. The full tournament schedule is posted on the MGA website. He reported that the MGA Classic II tournament is scheduled for Saturday, August 24th to allow non-retirees an opportunity to participate in the tournament. Jim reported on the new Eagle tees to be used for the Club Championship. The new tee box arrangement has a 72 rating/135 slope and scorecards are available in the Pro Shop. He is requesting MGA members to try out the new tee boxes to provide feedback on whether the arrangement will provide a good challenge for the Championship. 2. Social: Ray Milewsky reported that the next golf club social will be April 11th. There were approximately 40 members (including some new members) that attended the March Social. Greg agreed that the Club would handle the notifications and reservations for the May social while Ray is vacationing. The Club-wide Member Satisfaction Survey is being finalized with the BOG for roll-out in late March. 3. Greens: Dave Schultze reported that aerification of the greens will occur on April 7-8 following the Mysterious Masters tournament. He reported on the remediation efforts to repair the damaged area on the south edge of the 14th green, as well as re-sodding efforts on the bridge entries to #6 and #7 greens. A UofA agronomist will be visiting to consult with Brian on our efforts to overseed the greens when they are aerified with an aggressive bent grass to attempt to retard the growth of the poa annua. VICE PRESIDENT: John Weaver reported that he had sent out MGA applications and welcome letters to 8 individuals, and anticipates 5 more in the near future (mostly to former Hassayampa members). AGA REP/MEMBER-AT-LARGE: Mike Peters requested that John work with Ray (our Webmaster) to find a way to post the results of Wednesdays Mens Day. It was agreed that posting the results would foster interest in Mens Day, as well as potential additional traffic to the MGA website. It was agreed that we would trial it for a couple of months. John agreed to have Ed type up the results and provide them to Ray to be posted on the MGA website. PAST PRESIDENT: Dave Fletcher nothing additional to report. NEXT MEETING: The next Board meeting will be on Thursday, May 2nd, at 10:00 AM, in the Clubhouse. All members are welcome to attend. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at approximately 11:50.

Respectfully submitted, Charlie Bomberger Secretary
