Executive Summary

This study has been conducted with a focused ultimate goal of measuring supply chain effectiveness of Saba Attires Ltd a renowned apparel manufacturing company of Bangladesh. At the begining of the study, a thorough review of literature was conducted. Based on the findings of literature, six supply chain variables (Forcasting, Order Processing, Inventory Management, Production, Communication and Distribution) were considered to measure supply chain effectiveness. To conduct this descriptive study, 40 employees (Merchandisers, Commercial executives, Quality controllers, Prdouction executives) and suppliers of Saba Attires Ltd were been interviewd with a structured questionnaire. In analyzing the data for this study, likerts Summative Rating scale used for easy construction of table analysis. Mean rating is used to rate the variables. The study finds that in some supply areas like - price forecasting system, communication with with suppliers; supply chain of Saba Attires Ltd is ineffective. communication with with supply chain partners is merginally effective. In terms of - demand forecasting, order placement, inventory management, distribution flexibility and production management supply chain is moderately effectiveve. Finally some recommendations are provided on the basis of findings.
