Essential Qualifications
Applicants must clearly demonstrate on their application that they meet all the following essential criteria and are within the area of selection. Failure to do so may result in the rejection of your application. IMPORTANT NOTE: Candidates MUST CLEARLY INDICATE WHICH POSITION(S) THEY ARE APPLYING FOR. It is the responsibility of the candidate to submit a cover letter, which clearly outlines how they meet each of the screening criteria (i.e. Education and Experience Qualifications, both Essential and Assets). Please note that it is not sufficient to only state that the requirement is met or to provide a listing of current responsibilities, rather the candidate must provide concrete examples that illustrate how they meet the requirement. One suitable approach is to use each screening criteria as a heading, and provide a description outlining how that criteria is met. Resumes will be used as a secondary source to validate the experience described in the cover letter. Failure to provide an appropriate cover letter could result in the application being rejected from the process. Candidates will not be solicited for incomplete or possible missing information. ALL STREAMS Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in Economics, Sociology or Statistics. Note: Applicants must always have a university degree. The courses for the specialization do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in the required specialization. This specialization may be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience. If you do not have a degree in one of these three specializations, list clearly the relevant courses you have taken or the experience that is related. Please provide transcripts for courses taken. STREAM 1 Manager, Client Service Experience in managing and providing direct service to the public. STREAM 2 Manager, Archival Description Manager, Bibliographic Description Experience in metadata development and management.

Experience in management of digital information resources. Experience in evaluation and acquisition of documentary heritage material. ALL STREAMS Significant* and recent* experience in managing archival programs and/or major projects relating to archives and/or library and/or information management. *For purposes of this process, significant experience is defined as one (1) year or more and recent is defined as in the last five (5) years. Experience in the management of financial resources. Significant* and recent* experience in managing human resources. *For the purposes of this process, significant experience is defined as one (1) full year managing human resources. Recent defined as in the last 5 years. Recent* experience providing advice and recommendations to director level and above. Recent defined as in the last 5 (five) years. Experience managing client and stakeholder relationships. Official Language Proficiency : Bilingual Imperative - Level : CBC / CBC

Asset Qualifications
Graduation with a masters degree from a recognized university in Library Science, Archival Science, Social Science or in Information Studies.
