We provide a remote database administration service, including high-level cover for in-house teams and complete database ownership or management. Choose from the following support options:

Telephone support - Liaise directly with our Oracle and SQL Server consultants on

any support issue or discuss non-urgent what if and planning scenarios. Our aim is to become a valued member of your team and this approach provides us with greater understanding of your systems. Well react to any issue that arises with your database and in most cases well implement remedial action to solve the problem. Our consultants also provide a remote troubleshooting service. - Our database administration team will remotely access your database systems to assess performance and stability. Clients will be notified immediately if any urgent issues arise. All non-critical findings will be recorded for reference and acted on accordingly. No major configuration changes will take place without the clients consent. A written report is prepared every quarte r indicating the current system configuration and any changes carried out by our consultants during the previous three months. - We provide 24/7 monitoring for your mission critical databases. Our emergency helpdesk will be notified if theres a problem that can be solved by remedial action. Combining database monitoring with a rapid response time means clients maintain the highest possible levels of system uptime. - In the event that our standard support doesnt meet your exact business need, well be happy to offer a customised service. This is particularly beneficial for organisations running business critical systems that need comprehensive or 24/7 cover. - Scheduled dial-in upgrades can be arranged at a frequency to suit your requirements. Choose from daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly services.

Database health check - We recommend all our new clients carry out a database

health check at the outset of the partnership. A consultant will visit your site to assess your existing system configurations. This allows our technical team to get a thorough understanding of your systems and future plans. It also allows us to offer recommendations for performance enhancements and the management of your database systems. At the end of the health check youll receive a full report including recommendations. - On-site requirements such as performance tuning, upgrades, back-up and recovery projects, migrations and patches can take a while to perform. As a result we suggest clients keep a few days on account. This allows you to use the extra days when necessary or at short notice.

On-site consultancy

Pre-booking extra days allows you to buy them at a more cost effective rate. In the event of larger, on-site projects, blocks of 20, 30 or 50 days can be bought at any time during the contract.

All clients, regardless of the support option, benefit from a dedicated technical account manager and a dedicated commercial account manager throughout the contract period. Your technical manager will be your main contact. They are responsible for making sure all staff that work on your account are up-to-date with your system requirements. Your commercial manager will ensure agreed service levels are being met and will be your direct contact for any contractual questions you may have.
