THE HISTORY OF THE CHURCH ENCAPSULATED GRACE IMMEASURABLE

The Birth: Like a mustard seed, the church was planted on 15th September 2005, it metamorphosed into a grand tree able to accommodate both the eagles and other birds of the air. Its first service was held with the promise from the Lord Almighty that he will be with the pastor and will use him to make name for himself. The first service recorded that attendance of 5 persons, three boys and women including the pastor, their names are Bro. Celestine Onyeji, Bro. Mike, Mummy Cecilia Ikpeamaeze, etc. The pastor conceived the vision in the year 2004 during Rev. P. K. Emeaba but, due to the fact that the Mothers Church, No. 6 Nwalozie, was rebuilding their church, the vision was delayed till when my spiritual father, Rev. G. A. Ehibe came to No. 6 Nwalozie, he fanned me up and even advised me to seek for a place to open it and to report back to him which I did. He, Rev. G. A. Ehibe advised me again to come and see the church board, which I did. But at the end of my reasoning with the board, they told me to postponed it indefinitely, but I refused, saying I will move by faith, when I returned home at about 11pm that night I narrated my deliberation with the church board to my wife, and she encouraged me to have my faith in God. After a while, at about 12:30am I heard an audible voice which spoke to me through the book of Isaiah 55:3, I became more courageous. In the morning the following day, I waited upon the Lord for three days and the same spirit of God told me to leave the former place I found and look for alternative, which I did, and that led me to No. 1 Frank Road where the church was initially opened. May I use this medium to mention the following people who supported us immensely both financially, morally and took time also to encourage us when it became difficult. These people are: Rev. & Mrs. G. A. Ehibe, Mr./Mrs. Sunday Dim, Mr./Mrs. Solomon Obioma Nwankwo, Mr./Mrs. Emeka Ukeka, Bro. Celestine Onyeji, Evang. Mrs. Angela Okpara, Mr./Mrs. Michael Ugorji, Mummy Abigail Chike, Evang. Miracle Ejere (A man with prophetic grace), Mr./Mrs. Israel Nwachukwu and my two elder brothers and their wives Mr./Mrs. Chukwu S. Udeh (Chuzzy bros) and Mr./Mrs. Ibo S. Udeh (city).

THE GROWTH OF THE CHURCH However, people started coming to the church through the Charismatic, Evangelistic and tireless efforts of the pastor/the wife coupled with the manifestation of the power of the Holy Ghost in the church during church services. The first set of people to come were: Mrs. Cecelia Ikpeamaeze, Mr./Mrs. Richard O. C. John, Mummy Josephine Ogbonna, Mummu Comfort Ogbonna and family, Bro. Mba Kalu, Bro. Stephen Kalu, Mr./Mrs. Samuel Okeigbo, Mummy Uzoamaka Okebe, Bro. Chinedu Chukwu, Philomena Maduka, Mrs. Kelechi Augunus Okoro, Ngozi Ndubuisi and her relations, Mr. Okpara, Deacon Kalu Nwankwo, Deacon Anthony Alozie, Deacon Emmanuel Onyeike and Chidinma Onyemauwa, Sister Chika Etumni, Bro. Nkemjika Igbokwe, Sister Esther Onyeabor, etc. Worthy to mention is the great support our neighbors around our church gave and still giving us today by allowing their children to worship with us. Because of financial constraint owing to the fact that we have no sponsor, we were not able to hold any first crusade; I therefore chose to do the first crusade of the church through morning cry with my mega-phone which serves for creating awareness about the church and its location. CRISIS: The growth of any church brings about crisis, but the crisis of any church can only be controlled by what the scripture says in Jeremiah 33:3 call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things which thou know west not (K.J.V.) unquote, worthy to mention among the crisis, is the crisis of 2007 when we have stayed about one and half year we decided to expand the church, raise it up and floored it which we did at the cost of N125,775 (One Hundred and Twenty-Five Thousand, Seven Hundred and Seventy Five Naira) with the help of Stephen Kalu who is a mason who did all the masonry job without collecting one naira from the church. After finishing the work, one night I was sleeping and the Lord asked me where I obtained the information of renovation of the church, dont I know that the owner of the school where we are s taying is about to sack us after our rentage expired. I woke up in the morning and sought the face of the Lord on what to do and was told to wait for him for 30 days and after that again I should wait again for 30 days and he will show me where we will stay, which I completed and the Lord showed us this Ichida Hall where we are staying today which is costing us three hundred and sixty thousand Naira, (360,000) in two years.

ACHIEVEMENTS The church who has no sponsor today can boast of a complete standard instruments of music for worship with about two hundred person in service attendance. The church is made up of different classes: Graduates and undergraduates, teachers in primary and secondary schools, evangelists, a student pastor and some successful business men such as international business man and a whole sale business man, a civil servant, etc. Permit me to say here, that God has blessed us with blessings immeasurably and is still blessing us. There are records of barren women made fertile and people who were no body who are today land owners, car owners through the teaching and prophetic ministry of the minister in charge. God has blessed us with many weddings about seven weddings in which is at a ratio of one wedding each year. Good news, we have celebrated one interdenominational marriage between sister Miracle Egbule & Evang. David Ndu on 17th of March 2013 at the Army of the Lord Assembly, permit to say that we have grown mature because we have had connections within this 7 years both in A.G. and other Pentecostal Churches. Ladies and Gentlemen, my warmest gratitude goes to our amiable district superintendent Rev. Dr. G. O. Chukwu (J.P.) and the district fathers for their support and encouragement and all my sectional leaders whom I have served, under Aba 2 section since the inception of the church. Worthy to be saluted is our treasured mother church, No. 6 Nwalozie A.G.C. who gave us a helping hand at the inception of this church by giving us ten white seats and five benches, we salute you Sirs/Madams. May I salute you this two Reverend Gentlemen, Rev. Don. Njoku and Rev. G. A. Ehibe who helped this church when it was in a critical situation helping it to bounce back again. I also salute our (current) sectional leader, Rev. Barr. Bon. Nwakaghinna for his fatherly advice and encouragement. Thanks to God for His word that says and I quote so then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runeth, but of God that sheweth mercy. Unquote! That is why we titled that programme that immeasurable grace. Humbly submitted by Rev. Samuel Udeh.

AN ADDRESS PRESENTED BY THE MINISTER IN CHARGE REV. SAMUEL UDEH ON THE 7 YEARS ANNIVERSARY OF ASSEMBLIES OF GOD CHURCH, 11 CHIEF NWAGURU STREET, ABA THIS 14TH DAY OF APRIL 2013. All protocols observed. It is with sincerity and love that I welcomes you all to this great epoch making event of our time. The Almighty God through His son Jesus Christ gave the apostles the mandate of evangelization of the world in Mathew 28:19-20, since then till date, the war to fulfill this mandate has been carried by soul winning minded and soul winning conscious Christians and ministers to every part of the world. By the grace of God, this gospel of emancipation from sins came through the Assemblies of God church; to this part of Aba on 15 th September 2005. This church is committed to fulfill his mandate of setting the captives free and introduction of this marvelous light (the scriptures) into peoples lives. By the grace of God also, he is seeing us through, in spite of all the opposition that we have been encountering by the devil and his agents. The church has affected lives and families through her marvelous light. It has through the power of the Holy Spirit revived and renewed marriages. This thing were able to be actualized by her various programmes. Our annual papas blessing has manifested the supernatural of God and has brought down divinity into mortals, making the hopeless hopeful. The church you see today began on the first day with the pastor and one Bro. Celestine Onyeji. However, the truth remains that, his grace has brought us this far. And the same grace will lead us farther, because the Lords grace has made us stronger. The truth still remains that no crown without a cross, with this note, m ay I say that this church has passed some crisis, but let me mention one which took place in 2007 when we would have been ejected by the person who gave us where we were worshipping then. But the Lord revealed it to His servant I quote you will be sacked, the members scattered unquote I sought the face of the Lord for sixty days according to His directions, this place we were, was given to us by Gods miraculous power.

May we therefore, use medium of this celebration solicit the philanthropic support (of our good willed spirited invites) to enable us acquire a land for God as a place of worship. May I assure you that whatever anyone will do here today in the name of the Lord, to enable the church forge ahead shall undoubtedly be rewarded by our awesome God? Ladies and Gentlemen, may I crave the indulgence of all the dignitaries and personalities here present to declare my profound sincere gratitude to all those (whose names, time and space did not permit me to mention) who have contributed immensely to the progress of the church in one way or the other these years. May the good Lord increase and reward you all. I appreciate all my deacons and deaconesses both past and present, all my departmental heads both past and present. I will forget not all my entire work crew, my partner in the ministry and all my friends. I salute my father in the Lord, Rev. G. A. Ehibe, my sectional leader both past and present, my visionary district superincumbent, Rev. Dr. G. O. chukwu (JP). Above all, I appreciate my Best, (wife) for standing solidly by my side these years. Thank you. Long live Assemblies of God, No. 11 Chief Nwaguru street, Long live Aba District Assemblies of God Nigeria, Long Live General Council Assemblies of God Nigeria, Long Live Abia State And Long Live Federal Republic of Nigeria.
