The Revelation (274)

Should one look for the Creator? And is it possible to find the Creator? To help us understand how to look for the Creator, the Turkish author Harun Yahya (born 1956) distinguishes between intelligence and wisdom in his book, Allah is known through reason {1}. We can clarify the difference between intelligence and wisdom with an example: A scientist may have made lengthy and very detailed research on the body's nervous system. He may be the most knowledgeable person in the world on the extraordinary nerve transmissions taking place in the body. If he lacks wisdom, however, he will go no further than being someone who possesses a lot of information on the processes taking place between nerve cells. In other words, he will not be able to grasp the important reality lying behind this information. Someone with wisdom, however, seeing the miraculous events taking place in the nervous system and the perfect (matching) mechanisms in its details, understands that such a flawless structure must have a Creator, a designer with supreme wisdom. He says: "The power who has created the nervous system in such a flawless way must certainly be the creator of all other living things. And He has power to create the abode of the hereafter after death. {1} So, in what ways can a scientist utilize his/her intelligence? Intelligence allows him/her to ask questions and search for answers through research, e.g. how do the various parts of the nervous system work together? Through research, the scientist can gather knowledge on the integrated design of the nervous system. The scientist can then publish this knowledge and become famous. However, should the scientist stop here? It is possible for the scientist to ask further questions, e.g. how does the nervous system benefit the body? And more importantly, how does the nervous system happen to exist in the body to bring this benefit? Could the design of benefit, intricate and integrated design as well as construction of the nervous system be done without supreme intelligence and the power to create? When the scientist confronts the existence of supreme intelligent design, he/she sees the Creator through His Handiwork. He/she is then in a position to establish belief with conviction. This confirmation would lead to other conclusions such as Harun Yahya has suggested: The power who has created the nervous system in such a flawless way must certainly be the creator of all other living things. And He has power to create the abode of the hereafter after death. {1} When the scientist realizes this, he/she has gained wisdom. If the scientist then bows down and supplicates to the Creator acknowledging and adoring Him, then he/she becomes righteous, i.e. he/she gives credit where it is due. To confirm our thoughts and questions regarding the existence of the Creator, scriptures throughout the ages consistently reveal who He is. The most recent Revelation, the Quran introduces the Creator in the following Verse.

7.54 Your guardian-Lord is Allah Who Created the heavens and the earth in six days and is firmly established on the throne (of authority): He Draws the night as a veil over the day each seeking the other in rapid succession: He Created the sun, the moon and the stars (all) governed by laws under His Command. Is it not His to Create and to Govern? Blessed be Allah the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds!

The Creator has not only personally created everything, He declares that He is our GuardianLord He personally looks after and sustains everything that He has created. He also asserts that He has created two worlds, the current world and the Hereafter world after death. Praise be to Allah to Whom belong all things in the heavens and on earth: to Him be Praise in the Hereafter: and He is Full of Wisdom well versed with all things. [34.1, YA] As He also organizes our skills, opportunities and successes in our day-to-day lives, Allah asks, Then which of the gifts of your Lord (O man) will you dispute about? [53.55, YA] Therefore, with special gifts bestowed freely, what should be each human beings attitude towards the Giver of Life?

7.55 Call on your Lord with humility and in private: for Allah loves not those who trespass beyond bounds.
The purpose of our life is to use our intelligence to learn about what the Creator has done for us and acknowledge the truth. O you people! Adore your Guardian-Lord who created you and those who came before you that you may have the chance to learn righteousness. [2.21, YA] So, if one believes, then, O you who believe! Bow down, prostrate yourselves, adore your Lord and do good that you may prosper. [22.77, YA]

7.56 Do no mischief on the earth after it has been set in order but call on Him with fear and longing (in your hearts): for the Mercy of Allah is (always) near to those who do good.
The good news is that the Creator has promised His Mercy, for those who adore Him and carry out righteous deeds, both in this world and the next.

7.57 It is He who sends the winds like heralds of glad tidings going before His Mercy: when they have carried the heavy-laden clouds We drive them to a land that is dead make rain to descend thereon and produce every kind of harvest therewith: thus shall We raise up the dead: perchance you may remind yourself. 7.58 The vegetation of a land that is good comes forth (easily) by the permission of its Lord; and that which is bad, brings forth nothing but a little with difficulty: thus do We explain the Signs (Verses of Revelation) by various (analogies) to those who are grateful.
Studying Revelation and performing righteous acts are like seeds that will result in a rich harvest, whereas those who are ungrateful for the favors of the Creator will have lost their souls. Ask: "To whom belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth?" Say: "To Allah. He has prescribed for Himself (the rule of) Mercy. In the fact that He will gather you (all) together for the Day of Judgment there is no doubt whatsoever. It is they that will not believe will have lost their own souls.
