2013 Syllabus

Functional Safety Engineering I/II Syllabus Process Applications

This course provides an overview of functional safety engineering from the point of view of the Risk Analyst or Process Engineer for the first 2 days, and the Control/ Instrumentation Engineer for the second 2 days. Covering the full safety life cycle, including the basics of risk analysis, requirements creation and management, Safety Integrity Level (SIL) determination using risk graphs and Layer of Protection Analysis, Safety Instrumented System (SIS) design / verification.

Completing the 4 day course is ideal as preparation for taking the optional CFSP or CFSE examination
