Blairstown Demo Derby

Saturday May 25th, 2013 Friday August 30th, 2013 Derby begins at 7:30 p.m., Entries in by 6:30 p.m. Location: mile North of Blairstown on County Rd. V-66 __________________________________________________________________________________

inspection!!!! A scope may be used. No leafing of 80s & newer cars. NO Imperials or Imperial sub-frames, ambulances, hearses, limousines, etc. Drivers must be 18 years of age and have a valid drivers license. All glass, plastic, chrome and interior must be removed from cars before arriving to the derby. Use motor and transmission of choice, motor must be in stock location. You may chain motor and transmission to keep in place. Use rear end of choice must be 5 lug. Welded or positraction highly recommended. Radiator must be in stock location. Drivers door can be welded and steel may be added. All cars/vans must have working brakes. All trailers hitches and braces must be removed. Original gas tanks must be removed. You must us a properly made fuel cell and it must be properly secured and covered. Place fuel cell in rear seat of the car as close to the center as possible. Transmission coolers will be allowed, but must be safely and properly secured. Batteries must be moved to the drivers compartment and properly secured and covered. You must have access holes in the hood in case of fire. For drivers protection you may weld a bar behind the seat from doorpost to doorpost, you may also weld a plate across the drivers door not to exceed 6 inches past each seam. Dash pillar brace is optional. All drivers must have a number sign 20 high by 20 on top of the car and numbers painted 20 high on the front doors. No split rims. No studded tires. You can weld your bumpers to brackets and bumper shocks. Do not add steel. Suspension must remain at stock height. Doors, hood, deck lid, and bumpers can be secured with chains or # 9 wire. Bolting hood and deck lid is optional, but suggested. Valve stem protectors are allowed in all classes. Foam may be used only in the drivers door. You may weld A frames forward, no other alterations allowed. No paint, tar, bondo, undercoat, etc. All frames will be scoped. 2-2 wide X thick straps can be bolted or welded from the hood and deck lid to the bumpers. No chopping rear frame and rolling trunk Distributor protectors can only be connected to engine, NOT TO FRAME. NO WELDING BEHIND A-FRAMES Judges decisions are FINAL!!!!!

Payouts* 80s & Newer No Weld Cars 1st - $1200 + trophy 2nd - $750 + trophy 3rd - $400 +trophy 4th - $200 5th - $100 6th 15th - $50

Compact Cars 1st - $900+trophy 2nd- $400+trophy 3rd- $200+trophy 4 th-$100 5 th-10th - $50 11th- 30th- $0

Mini Vans/Full-Sized Vans Purse $$$ for vans will be at least $1,000 each class. Payouts for the van classes will be determined the night of the demo based on driver input. *$5000.00 for car class payout is based on having a total of 50 cars, if there are less than 50 cars the payouts may be prorated. We have never pro-rated the purse. Trophies for winners are 6 ft., 2nd place - 4ft. 3rd place - 2ft.

Compact Car Rules Front Wheel Drive Uni-Body Framed Cars only.
Conventional Framed vehicles wont run. 4 & 6 cylinder only NO V-8 powered No factory gas tanks allowed!!! All other general rules apply. Plastic bumpers must be removed. All general rules apply. No All wheel drive or 4 wheel drive.
