Take time to say Hi to all your students every day for some, it just may be the only kindness to come their way.

A Simple Hi
ach day when I entered her classroom, she smiled and said hello
Just what that gesture meant to me, she truly could not know She did not know that she and only she made me feel wanted That HER smile got me through a time in life when I felt daunted That life at home was way too tough for any kid to take That her classroom was my refuge, that my happiness was fake That for her I put my best foot forward, even when times were rough That my smile was a faade to hide my pain, for I was tough But even though she never knew, it meant so much to me That there was one place in my life where someone wanted me Wanted me to be there, wanted me to learn Wanted to help me realize there were good things I could earn For beyond the books and content, I learned that year that I Was someone who, to someone, was worth a simple Hi.

Children are children, and they will play the part. Just be careful not to take their actions to heart.

I was actually acting just the same as any kid my age does So Im not sure what she meant by that Im not an adult, Im a kidthats a fact But should I actually tell her so? Cause someone needs to let her know That kids will act like kids, its true Even when adults dont want us to So all adults, please listen, take heed Were not out to get youwere just kids, indeed!

If you teach a student one day, you live in his heart forever. . . The bond between a teacher and a student will never sever.

The things that she instilled in me have never gone away In fact, they are a part of every ber of my being The blood that courses through me and the eyes through which Im seeing The love that I am giving, the decisions that Im making The things that Ive accomplished and the ones Im undertaking For once someone inuences you, they live inside your heart And so of all I am today, my teacher is a part.

Ill Do it Tomorrow
And the next day came and I put o more; too much was coming my way I used up tons of paper with my list of things to do And every day my list of things just grew and grew and grew It overtook my kitchen, then it overtook my house It overtook my children and it overtook my spouse If only I had done the things that needed to be done It would have been much easier to do things one by one But now Im overwhelmed with all the things I have to do How will I survive this? I do not have a clue! And sitting atop these things to do are feelings of guilt andsorrow So Im turning over a new leaf. Yep, Ill do it tomorrow!

Our attitudes shape our visions, and in our classrooms they set the tone. Its up to us whether students in our classrooms cheer or moan.

We Get to Choose
