Massachusetts DOT Phillipston Bridge Replacement - 2010
-Level and compacted runway for SPMT runway -Center portion of the runway left open in order for movement of SPMT s under the new bridge section, minimum 12 of clearance (left/right) for SPMT movement -Barnhart/Marino provided & utilized (2) 12line Goldhofer SPMTs with (16) 4 shoring stools (8 on each trailer 2 high) and (2) 5 x 50 girders to transport bridge superstructure weighing 300ton from fabrication area (approximate travel distance 140) -Haul from lay down yard to final rest took approximately 4hrs (2hrs in pristine conditions) primarily because of the poor ground conditions due to the rain. Steel plates had to be placed as we were moving.

Goldhofer SPMT - Launch Connecticut DOT Hales Road - 2010

-Scope: Provide rigging solution for removal of existing truss bridge 60 x 25 x 93k and placement of eight precast deck sections 60 x 4 x 2-3 x 68k each over Metro-North railroad -The bridge is estimated to weigh 93k and measured 60L x 25W. The project was complicated by the presence of powered lines both above and below the bridge; standard means of removal were eliminated. - A ~135 span of 5ft girder was assembled to remove the bridge. The girder configuration could not be set with a crane alone; instead the full length girder (144-2) was cantilevered approximately 80 off of a 6-line SPMT and driven across the bridge. The girder configuration was counterbalanced with counterweight at the opposite end.

Category 4 Hurricane Ivan struck the Pensacola area on September 16, 2004 damaging nearly a mile of the double span I-10 concrete bridge over Escambia Bay. Barnhart was selected by a jointventure between Florida DOT and Gilbert Sourthern to quickly respond to this event to reconstruct the bridge and return its nearly 42,000 vehicle commuters back to normal life.
