What is paint renovation?

Paint renovation on cars and motorcycles deals with the surface area of the bodywork. From time to time, the surface becomes damaged from bumps, scrapes and chemical damage. Renovating means bringing the surface finish back to its original showroom look. Heres a list of common types of damage to the paint surface: Light scratches and scuffs: These are often caused by hedgerows and tree branches scraping alongside the bodywork, bunches of keys bouncing against the car, buttons on jeans, supermarket and pushchair handles rubbing along the car. Swirl marks: These are spider web like circular fine lines that show up in bright sunlight. Often more visible on metallic and clearcoat lacquered surfaces. They are caused by automatic car wash brushes and general cleaning with unclean materials.

Check first! If you have a scratch and are not sure if G3 will remove it, run your fingernail across it. If your fingernail is stopped by the scratch this means you can reduce its appearance but you cant remove it with G3 or any other product. It will have to be dealt with by a bodyshop.

Holograms: These are like swirls but are finer and more regimented in form. They are caused by bad polishing using a machine polisher. Fading and Chalking: This is when UV rays from the sun breakdown the surface shine over time and combined with airborne city pollution, cause the surface to appear cloudy and pale.

Bird lime and tree sap: These substances can be very damaging if left. The acids in them eat away at the surface leaving a small patch of discoloured paint or lacquer beneath. Treating quickly is essential. G3 professional formula products from Farcla can renovate all these defects. It is estimated that over 50% of the 32 million cars in the UK have some type of bodywork defect. Left untreated defects can lead to long term serious damage including rusting.

The

Professional Range
Understanding the technology in the G3 system

Professional results are easy with the G3 Formula range, because it is based on an interlinked system of molecular level technologies uniquely developed by Farcla. Engineered Diminishing Abrasives (eDAs) are unique to the G3 Professional formula and are present in the Scratch Remover and the Paint Renovator. The Engineered Diminishing Abrasive particles used in G3 break down

consistently and reduce in size as you remove the scratch/scuff or restore fading, finally turning into a smooth polishing uid. This means it wont harm your bodywork. The unique interlinked protection system in Resin Superwax combines paraffin wax for spreading, montanic wax to speed buffing time and hard canauba wax for a tough glaze protection.

Suitable for every paint type and every finish including clearcoats and metallics, used individually they work brilliantly, together they provide excellent renovation, protection and extend the life of your car bodywork.

First, G3 Detox leaves the bodywork surface optimised for G3 Scratch Remover or Renovator, these in turn leave the bodywork surface optimised for G3 Resin Superwax to adhere effectively and seal-in a professional, mirror-like shine which gives protection for up to 4 months.

Bodywork Detox
This is step 1 in the 4 step interlinked system that is G3 Professional. Surface preparation is crucial when renovating bodywork. Bodywork Detox is mixed with warm water and clears away ingrained grime and pollutants to leave bodywork in prime preparation for scratch removal or renovation treatment. It can also be used as a general wash followed by Resin Superwax.

Scratch Remover
This is step 2 in the 4 step interlinked system that is G3 Professional. Scratch Remover uses engineered diminishing abrasives (eDAs) created by Farcla to effectively and safely remove scratches from ALL paint types including clearcoats and metallics. Some people prefer paste as opposed to liquids. If only a couple of scratches are being tackled, the paste would be better. For more extensive work, the liquid should be your choice. Using Scratch Remover is simple. Apply a small amount of product to a slightly dampened wafe applicator pad.

Using medium pressure, rub across the scratch in straight back and forth movements. Repeat until the scratch has gone. Buff with a lint free cloth to a brilliant shine.

Paint Renovator
This is step 3 in the 4 step interlinked system that is G3 Professional. Paint Renovator also uses eDAs but in a reduced strength formula for use on larger surface areas. It can be used straight after Bodywork Detox or after tackling deeper scratches and marks with Scratch Remover. Paint Renovator is the best choice for fading, swirl and hologram marks. Apply in exactly the same way as Scratch Remover.

Resin Superwax
This is step 4 in the 4 step interlinked system that is G3 Professional. Resin Superwax contains an interlinked molecular blend of three waxes. It is specially formulated to bond with the bodywork surface thats been treated with Scratch Remover, Paint Renovator or Bodywork Detox. Resin Superwax contains paraffin wax for spreading, montanic wax to speed buffing time and hard canauba wax for a tough glaze protection that will last for up to 4 months.

Applicator Wafe Pads

Applying paint renovation products by hand is so much easier with a G3 Applicator Wafe Pad. Each pack contains two pads. One white, one black. The white one for using with the abrasive compounds in Scratch Remover and Renovator, the black one for using with the Resin Superwax. Using wafe material from the bodyshop market, the shape is designed to create perfectly even pressure across bodywork contours. They wash out in warm soapy water.
