French Syllabus
Prerequisite
Transparent Connect French Classroom is a course designed for "true beginners" of the language. No prior study in French is required.

Technology Requirements
Students must have access to a computer and internet connection. Online assignments may be completed at http://courses.transparent.com and instructor-led class sessions will take place in an online classroom. The link to this classroom will be sent to you in advance of each class session. Students should also have a headset or built-in speaker with microphone on their computers. Speakers (or earphones) will allow you to hear the audio in your online resources and instruction sessions. The microphone will allow you to interact during class sessions. Please test your microphone and speakers or headset before the first class session to ensure that they work. If you need to buy one, we recommend the USB headsets made by Logitech or Plantronics.

Course Objectives
This course will deliver a solid language foundation for beginners who also want to develop their interactive speaking skills. Learners will be introduced to the most common communicative situations, and they will be guided and encouraged by their instructor to engage in conversational exchanges in order to acquire all the necessary skills to maintain basic conversations.

Course Sequence
This course is designed as a stand-alone experience but may also be taken as part of the Transparent Connect sequence of courses. Learners will finish the course with a basic foundation in Spanish but may build on this foundation with subsequent courses or private instruction hours. For more information about private instruction, please contact info@transparent.com
