It reflects on how both parties agreed and disagreed with his policy and his way of disbursement. For example the Democratic Party thought that he was too hasty and only wanted to do this for money pressure by his own party they felt neglected in the process and that he didnt think through or consult in a bipartisan manner. Abraham Lincolns republic party agreed that his actions were just and that it was time for a change between southern and northern states. Yes Summarize the article (75 to 100 words) This short article is about Rosa Parks and her conviction. It says that even though she was released that she still has a record. Rosa Parks was arrested for breaking a Jim Crow law that was later eradicated. The conviction still stands even though the US Supreme court over turn the Jim Crow laws. This article shines light that even thought she was acknowledge for her good works she still had a conviction staining her name. Source 3 Author: Unknown Date: 1916 Title: Henry L. Reliable Sources Worksheet US/101 Version 7 throughout his life. It informed me of his educational background, his personal beliefs and relationships. The editorial also gives information about how he used his strengths in organization to keep the United States from spending unnecessary money and putting toward better use. It also mentions his calm demeanor and how he focused on task and was calm during time of crises.

Respond to each of the following questions: What is an abstract? How is an abstract helpful in refining your search? (75 to 100 words) Abstracts are little paragraphs from the article that you are researching. An abstract can help you quickly scan what you are about to read and decide whether the article is right for what you are researching. For example I looked up the Underground Railroad, One abstract showed me and article about French rails being built underground. I obviously did not want that. So I saved time by just read the abstract. How do these articles contribute to its relevancy of the topic/search? (100 to 150 words) The relevancy in topic search verse the article can vary some. You may put in a name like George Washington and get a lot of different searches. If you are more specific like George Washington Continental Army, you may get a more in depth articles of what his actions were and how his decisions with the Army affected the outcome of the War while leading the Continental Army. It can be time consuming but being more specific while gather you better results. Also when searching the search bar will most likely show you specifics and you can better understand what you may want to look at if you are just randomly searching. What makes these scholarly articles? How current is their information? How quickly does information in this topic change? How can you tell if a source is reliable or credible? (100 to 150 words) I think what makes these scholarly articles are the sources and dates. All the articles that I pulled were either dissertations or editorials. They were dated and full of facts. The articles that I chose do not change topic. It stays on task and informs me of what I need to know about the subject matter. This is what really shows me that the editorial is real and not only opinionated. I can tell if a source is reliable or credible by its date, publication and whether is easy to site or not. If an article has a lot of missing pieces such as a publication date, or author two or more citation criteria missing than it is best to move on to something more reliable.

How do these articles reflect bias on the authors part? If so, what is the bias? If not, explain why you think they do not reflect bias. (50 to 100 words) One of the articles I read was a weekly editorial about Henry L. Stimson. It was a very positive editorial and listed all his accomplishments. I do believe this was bias but it listed facts and his credentials. They didnt list anything negative that he may have done and none of his controversial advice given to may presidents that he served under.
