Heart Rate Lab Report

Introduction: Scientific requires a logical progression of steps that clearly define and focus the work being done. Results can be changed every time a new experiment is being constructed. To be successful on the experiment, you need to be dedicated and be focus. The heart is the main organ in our system. It pumps blood that carries oxygenated and de-oxygenated blood throughout the body. Every second, the heart beats. The hear rate is the number of heart beats per unit of time. Daily exercise can help your heart to be healthy. In this experiment, youre going to determine your heart beats per minute before and after you do constant exercise. ;)

Steps of Experimental Design 1. Identify the question or problem Does doing exercise activity raise up your heart rate? 2. Clarify: You will do certain exercises (running, jump, etc) to see if your heart rate is higher then average. The purpose of this is to see new ideas, basically seeing what can and cant raise the heart rate of a human. The importance to this is to learn the basic heart beats of the human & to learn how to use new tools.

4.Predict a solution to the problem or an answer to the question. The results will vary because different people dont have the same heart rates before and after they do an activity. Your heart rate will rise as soon as you do a physical activity that can uses a lot of energy. Sometimes, your heart rate increases as soon as you do an exercise. 5. Design the experiment to be used: In our experiment, we will be using certain tools and do certain exercises. Safety concerns include: use of exercise, use of heart rate monitor.

Heart rate after exercise

Normal heart rate 7. Analyze the data observations. After you gathered your information by performing the experiments, you can see the rapid change of heart beat after doing a physical activity. The heart rate two time more than a normal heart rate. When you exercise, your muscles demand more oxygen to create energy to keep working. Your heart rate increases

to supply freshly oxygenated blood to your muscles quickly so they can meet the demands of exercise. 8. State the Conclusion. The hypothesis was correct because when we did an exercise, our heart rate increased rapidly. 9. Summary Paragraph: When you do a activity that requires vigorous exercise, your heart rate will most likely increase because of the rapid beating of the heart. As you exercise, the blood vessels in your muscles dilate and allow more blood to flow to them. When you do an exercise, you need oxygen to perform, so thats why the heart is pumping blood to supply you oxygen.
