FYI!
The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) hosts its 14 thannual Caribbean Conference on Sustainable Tourism Development in Trinidad and Tobago from 15th to 18th April, 2013. This conference seeks to bring together the regions leading tourism officials and key stakeholders, as well as international experts, in an environment which facilitates the sharing of experiences, discussions on key issues affecting tourism, and generation of new ideas. The conference aims to accomplish a range of sensitisation and capacity-building on areas of improving visitor experience, good practice models in tourism sustainability and developing sustainable tourism products. The latter is particularly important to the agriculture sector which has been contributing to the range of cultural and eco-tourism products through agrotourism. The knowledge to be gained can be used to design and implement the best possible policies and programmes lending to a sustainable and competitive future for the regional tourism industry.
