PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION IN PRIVATE SELF FINANCING B.Ed.

COLLEGES 2012
1. The admission in merit seats (50% of the sanctioned strength) should be made strictly on the basis of the rank list published by the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, for various subjects in B.Ed. Course. 2. The candidates with the rank slip issued by the LBS Centre and all certificates in original will report before the Principal of Private Self Financing B.Ed. Colleges of their choice at 10 a.m on 8/10/2012 (Monday). 3. Colleges of their choice at 10 a.m on 8/10/2012 (Monday). 4. The Principal will prepare the rank list for admission to each B.Ed. Course based on the ranks of those candidates who have reported for admission in the respective College. 5. The rank lists prepared from among the candidates who have reported with rank slip will be on the basis of mandatory reservation as prescribed in clause 3.1.4 and 4.3 of the prospectus and for B.Ed. Admission 2012 published by the Director of Collegiate Education. The 50% merit seats in SelfFinancing Colleges will be distributed as per the following mandatory reservation principle: A. State Merit (SM) : 64% B. Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) : 26% (a) Ezhava (EZ) : 9% (b) Muslim (MU) : 8% (c) Other Backward Hindu (BH) : 5% (d) Latin Catholic other than Anglo Indian (LC) : 2% (e) Other Backward Christian (BX) : 1% (f) Kudumbi : 1% C. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes : 10% (a) Scheduled Castes : 8% (b) Scheduled Tribes : 2% 6. Each college will be provided with a Home Page by the LBS Centre. The admissions should be carried out on this page by entering the details for all the candidates assembled for admission. The details called for in the Home Page Electronic Sheet should be meticulously filled. 7. The application number, rank, name, category, subject, remarks are to be filled in the case of all candidates assembled with the rank slip. 8. Using these details, candidates should be ranked for each subject as per Clause 3.1.4 of the prospectus for B.Ed. admissions 2012. 9. After completing all the admission process, the details are to be sent by click the button UPLOAD in the home page of the college for consolidation. This should definitely contain the application number, rank, name, category, subject and in the remark column ADMITTED or NOT ADMITTED. 10. The merit seats remaining to be filled after admissions made on 08.10.2012 will be filled up by following the same procedure detailed above on successive days from 09.10.2012 to 12.10.2012. 11. At the end of each day the admission procedure shall be completed as prescribed in para 6 above. 12. Admitted candidates have to remit the full tuition fees of Rs.29000/- and other college fees on the day of admission itself. 13 The Principal of the College shall be personally responsible for verification of original documents and satisfaction of the correctness of the records produced by the candidate including eligibility of the candidate as per norms of the university concerned etc. at the time of seeking admission in the College. 14..If the admitted candidate gets allotment for B.Ed. Course in Govt. College or Aided College, the Principal is bound to relieve the candidate at any stage and return the remitted fee in full. 15. The first allotment to Govt. Colleges and Aided Colleges will be published on 12.10.2012 and candidates will report in colleges for admission on 15.10.2012.
