TAKE NOTICE that a plaint has been led by the plaintiff in the Land and Environment
court of Kenya, Meru in the above suit in which you are named as the 2nd Defendant.
Service of the sermons to enter appearance on yourself has been ordered by means
of Advertisement. A copy of the plaint may be obtained from the Environment and Land
Court at Meru Court.
AND TAKE FURTHER NOTICE THAT unless you enter appearance within fteen (15)
days from the date of publication of this notice, the judgement will be entered against you.

To hasten the process of registration and issuance of birth certicates, we wish to advise parents/guardians and the
general public on the following:
1. Where to apply
i. Applications are made at the District Civil Registrars ofce and certicates issued from the same ofce.
ii. Parents and guardians of pupils/students may contact respective school head teachers or the Local Assistant Chief
where they can be advised on the process of applying for the birth certicates.
2. How to Apply
I. Where the Child was Registered at Birth (Current Registration), the applicant is required to;
(a) Fill the application form and attach Acknowledgment of birth Notication (ABN) of the child to facilitate search of the
birth record at the District Civil Registrars ofce.
(b) Where the birth notication is missing, attach the childs clinic card that shows exact place and date of birth.
(c) Return the completed birth certicate application forms with the relevant fee to the District Civil Registrar at the District
Commissioners ofce or the Assistant Chief or the head teacher of the school where the child is admitted.
II. Where a child was not registered at birth, applicants can apply for late registration and are required to attach supporting
documents which include but not limited to;
(a) Clinic card OR baptismal/dedication card OR School leaving certicate OR all if available.
(b) In the absence of an existing document showing the date of birth, a letter from the head teacher indicating date of birth
as declared during admission to the school should be attached to the application.
(c) Identity cards of parents OR death certicate if deceased or an Assistant chiefs letter if they are deceased and a death
certicate is unavailable.
3. Important Notice
i. Birth Registration application forms can be obtained from the District Civil Registrars ofce or the Area Assistant
Chief.
ii. Applicants should be wary of con-men and brokers out to cheat them by pretending to assist.
iii. Applicants are notied that receipts are issued for all payments ranging from Kshs. 50/= to Kshs. 150/= for a birth
certicate.
A birth Certicate is the right of every child. Register the birth of your child immediately after birth and obtain a birth
certicate to secure his/her rights.
