Moving Maryland in the RIGHT Direction

Fellow Republicans,
At our 2013 Spring Convention last Saturday, I had the privilege of being elected to serve as Chairman of the Maryland Republican Party. This is both a great honor and a great opportunity. As Republicans in Maryland, we are a group that has chosen to fight years of domination by the Democrat Party and while this might be a difficult road, success is within our grasp. We need look no further than Pennsylvania. Like Maryland, it has several heavily blue areas that are surrounded by plenty of red. Today, 13 of Pennsylvania's

18 U.S. House seats are held by Republicans, as is one of it's US Senate seats. At the state level, Republicans control both houses of the legislature and the Governor's Mansion. As a fellow mid-Atlantic state, we have many similarities and there is nothing that prevents us from replicating Pennsylvania's successes right here. In fact, we have already started the process by increasing our totals at the local level and the next step is pushing these proven leaders to higher levels. If we put our differences aside and work toward the goal of making Maryland a red state, WE can be the example for blue states like New York and Massachusetts to follow. Therefore, I'm looking forward to working with each of you to make this a reality. I'm pleased that Collins Bailey of Charles County will be joining us in this fight as our

First Vice Chairman. Collins has been a hard-working Conservative activist for years and he will be a great asset to us as we take the battle to every office in every district across the state in 2014. This effort kicks off on Saturday with the joint Super Saturday being sponsored by the Maryland Republican Party and Maryland Federation of Republican Women on April 27th. There, we will channel the energy from the Spring Convention into turning Democrats and Unaffiliated voters into Republicans and getting existing Republicans active once again. This will help us on the way to this fall where electing Republicans to the City Councils in Annapolis and Frederick will make a strong statement to Democrats that we will come after them wherever they are. Sign-up at www.mdgop.org/super-saturday to make sure you're on the list for all of our grassroots activities. If you can't join, please donate $5, $10, $25, or whatever you're able to help support our outreach efforts. Let's lay the groundwork today for a strong, successful Maryland Republican Party. In Freedom,
