TERAFIL Water Filter Discs Science & Objectives TERAFIL Water Filter Discs is a mother earths green technology device developed for filtration and treatment of both raw surface and raw ground water into clean and safe drinking water at minimal cost and expenses in quality within BIS limit and WHO standard. TERAFIL Disc is a research based device mechanically and scientifically more advance yet inexpensive filtration device of International standard. TERAFIL Disc is of negatively charged ion-exchange and adsorptive by process, mechanism of capillary opening of each pore is in submicron size form through many layers and are not inter-connected directly which restricts almost all suspended particles & microbes at the top surface of the discs which could not enter even at the second layer of top surface of the disc which ensures the same quality of drinking water during entire operational life of the discs. TERAFIL Disc being developed to target raw water that is rich in sediments, suspended particles, turbidity, iron and certain micro-organism causing water born diseases; especially in the areas where water from dug well, ponds, tube well, bore well, water streams and river is used for drinking purpose. TERAFIL Water Filter Discs Composition & Reliability TERAFIL Discs contains composition of mother earths own natural ingredients like specific plastic silt clay, river green sand and Sal wood saw-dust as raw material in given ratio including scientific processes of material preparation and disc making techniques. TERAFIL Discs are stronger and efficient enough in mechanical and scientific way with operational life of more than 3 to 5 years without affecting the quality of water during entire operational life of the disc. TERAFIL Discs require weekly or fortnight cleaning to maintain proper rate of filtration, cleaning is easy and inexpensive. TERAFIL Water Filter Discs Types & Filtration capacity TERAFIL Discs available in two size viz., TERAFIL GT-100 (50 cm height x 100 cm diameter) used on gravity type Domestic Water Filter for filtration up to 1-4 LPH and on Online TERAFIL Water Filter Unit for filtration up to 60-100 LPH; whereas TERAFIL GT220 (50 cm height x 220 cm diameter) used on Gravity type community filtration plant for filtration up to 2000 LPH even more; and on Power Pressure-flow community water filter plant for higher filtration output up to 1,00,000 LPD even more. Rate of filtration by TERAFIL Water Filter Discs depends on science of water pressure mechanism and design applied on TERAFIL discs as per given pressure-load limit and number of discs used in a filtration system.
