Ancient Egypt folding or lap-book

This project is to be done at school and home. We will be covering many of the topics during our topic lessons, but some of the learning will be done through homework research. The due date for this will be Tuesday 7th June. You must make a presentation of your learning about Ancient Egypt using a folding book format. You may make this book in the shape of a pyramid, or keep it flat like a poster Your book must contain windows and folding covers which open to show information and pictures about different aspects of life in Ancient Egypt. This information must not have been cut and pasted from a website. It needs to be your own work. Your project must contain at least one pop-up mechanism

Your assignment must contain information on the following topics: - pyramids - hieroglyphics - mummies - Homes - Social order - A map of Egypt - My day as an Egyptian (slave / farm worker / pharaoh / pyramid builder / cook) It must also include what your character thinks of the pharaoh. You may also choose to include research from these topics as well: - Canopic jars what goes in them? - Furniture can you make a model of some furniture? - Clothes draw what a rich/poor person wore. - Work what jobs did people do? - Food describe food and include ingredients and recipes - Religion what did they believe in? - Entertainment what games did children play? - Pharaohs who were they? - Transportation describe/draw/make a form of transport - Egyptian Maths how did they count? - Science in Ancient Egypt what scientific tools did they use? - Tools that they used draw/make a model of some farming/medicine tools - Rosetta stone what was it? Why was it important? - King Tutankhamen who was he? What happened to his tomb? - Did you know? amazing fact boxes. You may choose to make any of the above in a model as well.
