SYNOPSIS OF THE PROJECT

1) TITLE OF THE PROJECT Measuring the effect of HR Policies case study of South Eastern Central Railway Bilaspur (C.G.)

2) OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT1. To study the HR Policies of the SECR. 2. To examine the effectiveness of HR Policies 3. To put forth workable suggestions to make HR Policies in SECR employee oriented.

3) RATIONAL OF THE STUDY In any organization human resource is the most important asset. In todays current scenario, SECR Bilaspur (C.G.) is a very large public service organization and is bound to have sound HR Policies so as to provide quality service.

Present study will be beneficial in following manner: I. II. Contribute to the field of knowledge The study will help in learning the current state of affairs with regard to HR policies in SECR. III. IV. Study will also help in measuring the effectiveness of HR Policies in SECR. The researcher will be enabled to put forth workable suggestions in making the HR Policies employee oriented.

4) RESEARCH METHODOLOGY: 1. Research Design: study will make the use of case study method of research 2. Data collection: Data will be collected primary resources as well as secondary resources. The primary data will be collected with the help of questionnaire and observation. Secondary Data: source of secondary data is following:

Books Journals Magazines Newspapers Websites Published and unpublished documents of the sampled organization. i. Primary Data: The primary data are those which are collected afresh and for the first time, and thus happen to be original in character. Primary data do not exist in record and publication. The researcher has to gather primary data which is fresh for the specific study, under taken by him. The various methods to collect primary data are as follows:a) Observation b) Interview c) Questionnaires

3. Sampling design i. Sample design: is a definite plan for obtaining a sample from a given population. The sample of 50 employees will be taken. The population: - the employees will be categorized as middle level and low level employees ii. Sampling Unit: employees from different departments of SECR

The collected data will be duly processed analyzed and integrated to reach the findings of study. Use of various tools and techniques will be made if required.
