HCL Innovation Team Design Internship Position, Summer 2013 Overview: As new technologies such as mobility, cloud and

big data enter the market, HCL must keep up with the changes that are impacting our business. In response to this changing market, HCL has developed the Innovation Team, a small team charged with understanding these technologies and developing new propositions around them that our company can take to market and offer to clients. The Innovation Team is an integral part of positioning our company for success in the next several years, and must not only work to develop new ideas and solutions for clients, but must also educate the rest of our 90,000+ employee organization on the new ways we are conducting business. As such, it is necessary that our team have a distinct look that matches the overall HCL organization but that is still distinctly our own. With the amount of material our team needs to produce both for internal and external uses, we need design expertise to ensure that everything we provide has a professional and consistent look. This internship offers the opportunity to play a fundamental role in the transformation of HCLs design and to help create a positive user experience for anyone who interacts with our company. We are seeking an individual who can help our organization better appeal to the millennial generation, as well as show our commitment to innovation and staying ahead of market trends through a progressive and exciting new look. Details: Full-time internship 40 hours/week Approximately 12 weeks (start and end dates flexible) Paid position Paid hourly $12-$15/hour Potential for end of internship bonus, pending quality of work and ability to go above and beyond requests Location: Denver, Colorado Chosen candidate will be working virtually much of the time Despite the mostly virtual nature of this role, expectations regarding deadlines, frequent communication with the team, and quality of work will still remain high There will be some opportunity and requirements for in-person work and meetings, primarily in Denver. The frequency of such work will be determined at a later date.

Job Requirements: Graphic design skills Development of static collateral material Web design skills Development of online user interfaces Ability to work with web developers in order to design the user interface in accordance with the backend technical functionality Sharepoint design skills (preferred, not required)

Job Description: Provide 3-5 overall design concepts for a fresh, new look for our team From the chosen concept, develop an array of re-usable static collateral material, including, but not limited to: templates for brochures, powerpoints, Prezis, flyers and infographics Possibly develop a new user interface for our teams microsite portal o Microsite will likely be located within a Sharepoint site, in which case design knowledge of Sharepoint will be a plus Develop a wireframe, design rules and user interface for a new mobile enterprise application Handle a variety of one-off design projects throughout the summer
