Bahrain We have on-going projects in Bahrain, which is a group of 35 islands in the Persian Gulf, close to the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia and not far from the western coast of Qatar. Bahrain, the main island from which the country took its name, is connected to Saudi Arabia by a causeway. Another causeway links Bahrain with Al Muharraq, the second largest island in the group. The capital city of Manama is located on the main island. Our main activity in the region is the development of the Bahrain International Passenger Terminal Expansion Phase 5. Current contracted project scope is to create an enhanced airport facility, with a capacity up from 5 million to 12 million passengers per year, creating a megaairport that will serve as the gateway to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The expansion is to be wrapped around the existing terminal structure with an over-sailing roof covering the whole terminal, thereby uniting both existing and new, while continuing to operate throughout construction. Planned completion date is currently Q4 2010 pending final approvals to begin work from the client.
