Assessment: (bullet points) What will you use to measure student understanding? I will use the student discussions and class participation to measure understanding. I will know that students understand the concepts through discussion and if the student is able to discuss the importance of these jobs with me and with their groups. G. Reflection: (answers to assignment specific questions) 1. Which part of the lesson do you think will be the easiest for you to teach? I think this whole lesson will be fairly easy. 2. Which part will be most challenging for you to teach? I dont think I would run into any big difficulties with this lesson. 3. How will you follow up or extend this lesson? I would want to have students write a story about one of the helpful jobs and why it is important. 4. What will you do for students who dont grasp the concepts? I would pull a few students at a time to review the concept and allow more oneon-one time for the students who may need the additional help. 5. Which part of the lesson, if any, do you think might need to change? I think I would need to include more partner work (sometimes a peer can explain a concept better than a teacher can.) 6. When you were writing this lesson plan, what was the most difficult part? I think the most difficult part was finding how I wanted to word everything and what kind of dialogue I would use to explain the concepts.
