[ARMORY]

[Ranged Weapon Traits]


[The following Traits appear on weapon tables throughout this chapter. In some cases, the Traits supplement or supersede the generic Traits given in the World of Darkness Rulebook.] [Damage The number of bonus dice added to a characters dice pool when using the weapon. A notation of 9 again or 8 again indicates that the appropriate system permutation applies(see p. 134, the World of Darkness Rulebook).] [Ranges These numbers are the weapons short/medium/long ranges in yards. Attacks at medium range suffer a 2 penalty, while those at long range suffer a 4.] [Capacity The amount of rounds a gun can fire with before needing to replace their thermal clip. if a full thermal clip is not fully used in a scene, it's not expended, and the weapon may fire full capacity before requiring a new thermal clip during the next scene.] [Strength The minimum Strength required to use the weapon effectively. For ranged weapons, this factors in both the weapons recoil and its physical bulk. If a characters Strength is lower than this requirement, she suffers the difference as a penalty to her attack rolls. For example, a character with Strength 1 trying to fire a gun with a minimum Strength 4 suffers a 3 penalty. Some guns are capable of automatic fire, which is harder to control than single shots. For such a weapon, a parenthetical set of three additional values indicates the weapons Strength requirements for short, medium and long bursts for example, 2 (2/3/4). This score is reduced based on a characters race and class choices] [Size The weapons Size, per the World of Darkness Rulebook (p. 135). As Size categories are fairly broad, an additional notation after the Size of each item with Size 1 or 2 indicates the amount of clothing under which a normal- sized character can conceal the gun: P (Palm/Pocket), S (Shirt), J (Jacket), L (Long coat) or N (Not concealable). See Weapon Concealment on in the World of Darkness Armory (p. 198) for more information about these categories.] [Cost The minimum dots in the Resources Merit usually required to purchase this weapon.]

[Assault Rifles]
[Assault rifles are a class of rapid firing ranged weapons, which also encompasses battle rifles, marksman rifles and light machine guns. The design philosophy behind the assault rifle is to give the individual infantryman an easily handled weapon with a large capacity, fully automatic capability and lightweight, highvelocity rounds. All Assault rifles deal aggravated damage to barriers] [M-8 Avenger A common, versatile, militarygrade assault rifle. Accurate when fired in burst shots, and deadly when fired on full auto. The modular design and inexpensive components of the Avenger make it a favorite of military groups and mercenaries alike. The Avenger has a reputation for being tough, reliable, easy to use, and easy to upgrade.] [M-18 Vindicator A battle rifle favored by assassins and elite mercenaries that fires in highly accurate three-round bursts and can be pulsed for rapid fire.] [M-76 Revenant Unleash a storm of deadly high velocity slugs. Less accurate than an assault rifle, but has a high ammo capacity and deals much more damage. This custom-made machine gun features technology not widely available. Protected against replication by sophisticated Fabrication Rights Management (FRM) technology, only the richest and most powerful warlords can afford this weapon.] [M-96 Mattock The Mattock is a semiautomatic hybrid weapon with an assault rifle's low heat production and a sniper rifle's punch. Though it does not have a sniper rifle's precision scope, marksmen favor its increased power over that of an assault rifle to bring down hardened targets. Its lack of a full-auto setting is advertised as a feature rather than a shortcoming since it curbs a soldier's tendency to spray inaccurate fire under stress. [Pistols]
[Pistols are close to mid-range weapons designed for a variety of situations, particularly shooting on the move. They lack the automatic fire of assault rifles, and do less damage compared to shotguns or sniper rifles. They are an invaluable backup weapon, and are still highly accurate at mid ranges.]

[Shotguns]
[Shotguns are the predatory reptiles of the firearm world, direct modern evolutions of centuries-old designs. Shotguns feature largebore barrels and use heavy, low-velocity rounds, making them brutal at close range but ineffective over distance.]

[M-3 Predator]
[Manufactured by Elanus Risk Control, the Predator is valued as a powerful, deadly, and relatively inexpensive weapon. While it is not generally deployed in the military, due to commonality of kinetic barriers, its still very popular in the Terminus Systems where these defenses are less common.]

[M-22 Eviscerator]
[The Lieberschaft 2180 shotgun, or "Eviscerator," is of human civilian design and has a unique ammunition generator. Where most modern firearms shave off chips or pellets from an ammunition block, the M-22 shaves off serrated metal edges designed to fly aerodynamically. This dramatically improves its accuracy, and its tight grouping helps wound ballistics at longer ranges than standard shotguns. This design also violates several intergalactic weapons treaties, so the M-22 is not distributed to militaries.]

[M-5 Phalanx]
[The M-5 Phalanx is the product of the Alliance's Offensive Handgun Project that developed a close-in weapon to be used on armored or shielded targets with no loss of stopping power in comparison to the soldier's assault rifle. The Phalanx enjoys a ballistics advantage even over most "hand cannons" and features an integral laser sight which is highly visible even in bright lighting conditions. Civilian variants are often purchased by colonists on planets that have particularly dangerous big game animals.]

[M-23 Katana]
[Common military shotgun. Deadly at short range, but ineffective at long range. Manufactured by Ariake Technologies, the Katana is a common mercenary weapon, and is also popular on colonies with Varren infestations.]

[M-27 Scimitar]
[An elite military shotgun capable of rapid fire, this weapon is deadly at short range but ineffective at long range. Manufactured by Ariake Technologies, the Scimitar features twin mass effect generators, giving it a more rapid rate of fire than a traditional shotgun. When firing a medium burst the Scimitar consumes an entire thermal clip.]

[M-6 Carnifex]
[The Carnifex is a favored sidearm of mercenary leaders and Eclipse mercenary tech specialists. An expensive but powerful weapon. Its marketing materials feature a charging krogan with the slogan, "Don't you wish Carnifex was at your side?" Highly accurate and effective against armor the Carnifex has Armor Piercing 1.]

[M-300 Claymore]
[Very rare krogan shotgun. Deals high damage at short range; less effective at long range. It is of human design but is primarily used by krogan, due to the fact that the kickback from a single shot has enough force to break a weaker beings arm. Protected by Fabrication Rights Management (FRM) technology, this weapon is nearly impossible to reproduce and is prohibitively expensive. The Claymore must be manually cooled after each shot]

[Submachine Guns]
[Submachine guns (SMGs) are compromises between handguns and assault rifles, fully automatic firearms using light rounds. With their large thermal clip sizes and total ammo capacity, they fill the role of a backup suppressive weapon, while retaining moderate accuracy. All Submachine Guns deal aggravated damage to Barriers]

[M-29 Incisor]
[The Incisor is one of a new wave of military and police sniper rifles designed to overload active defenses such as shields. Firing three shots with each pull of the trigger, the Incisor's burst is so fast that all three rounds will be in the target by the time the barrel has moved a millimeter. The Incisor deals aggravated damage to barriers and has Armor Piercing 3]

[M-4 Shuriken]
[A common but effective submachine gun. Fires three-round bursts, and can be pulsed for a higher rate of fire at the expense of accuracy. As kinetic barriers have grown in popularity, so has the popularity of submachine guns. Manufactured by the Elkoss Combine, the Shuriken machine pistol has a reputation for being deadly and easy to use.]

[M-92 Mantis]
[Manufactured by Devlon Industries, the Mantis is primarily used by police and planetary militia groups. The prevalence of kinetic barriers has made this weapon less popular with the military, but it is used more frequently in the Terminus system where these defenses are less common. The Mantis has Armor Piercing 3 and must manually cooled after each shot.]

[M-9 Tempest]
[This submachine gun fires in long deadly bursts. Inaccurate at long range. The commonality of kinetic barriers has led to increased demand for rapid-fire weapons like the Tempest. Produced by Elanus Risk Control Services for the Eclipse mercenary band, the Tempest is an expensive but deadly addition to anyones personal arsenal.]

[M-97 Viper]
[Incredibly accurate and deadly at long range, these weapons are popular amongst infiltrators and assassins. Developed in response to the rising prevalence of kinetic barriers. Its sheer power and rapid rate of fire make it capable of quickly killing almost any target, regardless of its defenses. The Viper deals aggravated damage to Barriers and has Armor Piercing 1]

[M-Locust]
[The Kassa Fabrications Model 12 Locust is a compact submachine gun developed for the Alliance but now favored by gang enforcers and hitmen. Featuring a complex recoilreducing mechanism and high-grade auto targeting software, the Locust delivers longerrange, more accurate fire than others in its class.]

[M-98 Widow]
[An accurate and deadly anti-material rifle weighing in at 39 kilograms, the Widow AntiMaterial Rifle is primarily used by sniper teams in assault missions against armored vehicles or krogan. The Widow was never designed to be carried and fired and it's recoil is even stronger than that of a normal Sniper Rifle. The same recoil rules for firing from a bad position apply, but, with the Widow, the only position that is considered good is a prone stance with the bipod deployed. The Widow deals aggravated damage against barriers, has Armor Piercing 6 And must be manually cooled after each shot]

[Sniper Rifles]
[Sniper Rifles are incredibly accurate long ranged weapons that can be used to deal massive damage. All sniper rifles lessen the penalty of called shots by 2 and must be properly braced for a shooter to manage its recoil. If a character fires from a position in which the stock isnt securely tucked into his shoulder and he hasnt set himself to handle]-

Talents Conceptual Overview


Dots in talents grant powers and most powers are activated using barriers, vitality, or thermal clips. Powers are single events or last for a scene save for all 4th dot powers, the basic, combat, and tactical armor powers, and Thermal capacity; which are passive and always active. Talents are primarily combat focused. Ammo modifications have been forgone for powers and instead going to be one time use equipment. Medi-gel will be one time use equipment
