New Approaches in DCS & SCADA Systems

Course Overview:
The purpose of this course is to introduce the fundamental principles of DCS construction, discrete input/output system, analog I/O system, interfacing, programming, DCS system documentation. Monitoring, Data logging and analysis as an effective operation tool will be explained. Guidelines for installation, start-up, & maintenance are also covered. Basic and modern control strategies will be built. The course concludes with examples & hands on training plus workshop as well as projects for better understanding and actual implementation.

Course Objectives:
At the end of the course, the attendee shall be able To understand the historical development of the control system To master the basic control system Architecture To be familiar with the modern system (Field Bus SIS SCADA) To recognize the new features of the system software To link the system capabilities with the industrial application To measure the performance of the control system
