Requirements: Outer purse: 11" (28cm) of broadcloth, cotton, calico, denim, toile or any non-stretch fabrics Lining: 11" (28cm) of broadcloth, cotton, calico, denim, toile or any nonstretch fabrics Thread to match fabric One set Omega shaped bamboo handles available at www.tallpoppycraft.com One 14mm thin profile square magnetic purse snap 1. Preparation: Cut fabric as directed on pattern pieces. Transfer markings from pattern onto fabric. 2. Outer bag: With right sides together, stitch straight down side seams and straight across bottom seam. Turn purse right side out and press. 3. Lining: With right sides together, stitch straight down side seams and bottom seam in 2 sections (Note: do not sew straight across bottom seam - be sure to leave a hole between the 2 black dots). Insert a magnetic snap (available at www.tallpoppycraft.com) at the black magnetic snap placement mark. 4. Handle tab loops: With right sides together fold along fold line. Press the tub flat and stitch straight down the raw edged side seam to form a tube. Turn the tube right side out being careful not to rip the seam. Fold the tab in half so that the top and bottom raw edges are even. Press flat so that a loop forms. 5. Main construction: With right sides together and raw edges even, sew a handle tab on each handle tab placement marker (Note: The loop should be pointing toward the ground). With tab loops still pointing toward the ground, place the purse inside the lining section so that the right sides of the purse and the lining are together. Pin the raw top edges of the purse and the lining and sew right around the top of the purse. Through the hole in the lining grab hold of the Outer of the purse and pull it through the hole.

Turn the lining right side out and push it inside the purse. Press and sew the seam around the top of the purse. Pull the lining out of the purse and pin and sew the bottom lining seam, making sure to backstitch at each end. Slip each Omega shaped bamboo handle (available at www.tallpoppycraft.com) into the handle tab loops which should now be sticking up towards the sky.
