This letter is a representation of extensive research completed concerning done on the topic of pain management and how it affects people in various ways. differently. Also it is its an attempt to prove to the public and the author that there is no correlation connection between age, personality, and gender when it comes to pain management. It has come to my attention that many students and professionals of all kinds are continually always trying to narrow down and pin point the actuality of some psychological factors when in reality they just cannot cant be explained. The real secret to the problem is the persons mood and mental statestate of mentality.

Dear J Anaesth,

It has come to my attention that in your article you have made some very false claims about pain management. Right now, I ask you to sit and ponder on your mostback and revisit the most excruciating pain youve ever felt growing up as a child or as anand adult. Now, with that I would like you to think about how you would feel if someone told you that pain you had wasnt was not real and that you were lying about your painabout the very existence and magnitude of your pain. That would upset you, correctright? Well thatsThis is how I feel you are acting towards your claims thatof gender, age, and personality being are contributing factors toof pain management without doing proper research. Lippincott Williams and Wilkins inc. Inc., an academic and medical publisher, performed a study in 1999 showing the results of a pain based upon gender. After the study, The results of the study showed that women tended to feel more intense pain than men, along with more chronic headaches as well as and somatic problems. However, both men and women reported the same level of threat from the pain and no difference variation in the emotional pains they experienced(role of psychology). Another study, done by the Department of Psychology at the University of Alabama, stated that sex role beliefs, pain coping strategies, mood, pain related expectancies, and along with intergenerational influences could also have effects on pain management concerning in gender (role of psychology). Therefore With this being said, this helps prove my point that gender cannotcant be considered as a factor in assessingfor pain management stands, due simply to the fact that every individual receives and copes with pain differently.because not every person is the same.
Comment [M1]: Here, I tried to strengthen the paragraph with better vocabulary and left it casual for the simple fact that I follow the next paragraph with factual information to back up my open ended question.

Another myth that is commonly misunderstood is that age is a contributing factor to how one deals with and manages pain. Another myth I would like to address in todays society is that age has anything to do with pain management. It has been proven that younger childrenkids do feel more intense pain than the your average adult due to having a more robust inflammatory response and lack of a central inhibitory influence within their bodies;, this simply means meaning they have greater pain sensations. However, the way that the patient or child deals tends to deal with the pain is entirely up to them as an individual. Just as the elderly and middle-aged adults of all kind deal with chronic and acute pain every day., Ssome take medications for the pain and while others just deal cope with it and move on with their daycontinue on with their daily activities (anaesth). Its all about who you are and how you deal with the pain when it confronts you. Leading me to my next factor of personalityNext, pain management cannot be directly correlated to an individuals personality. Extensive research has shown that no studies can directly point out a personality as being related to a specific pain.I have done tons of research and none of which can directly point a specific personality around a certain pain. Its It is not the pain that produces the personality or the personality that manages certain types of pain better than others. It is Its the fact that if you as a person havean individual has a good personality, you areare well rested, calm, relaxed, happygo- lucky, and just are enjoying life then its it is easier to deal with pain or push pain away and not feel any at all.than if you are dealing with other factors that may contribute to the level of pain you are feeling such as stress or anxiety.

So With all of this being said, I encourage you to sit down and perform a little more research onlook more deeply into your topics of discussion before you jump to conclusions in your articlewriting. Thank you for your time and consideration, I hope that I have enlightened you on a different perspective of pain management and its entirety. Sincerely, Michael Lovelace

Research Pre- Writing

The main central message that I try am trying to make convey throughout my letter is to separate the truth from the facts when it comes to pain itself and pain management of this pain. I want to teach others about the medical research thats been done and the many ways to help prevent or stop the chronic every day pains of life. The passion and interest that drove me to write this letter was stems from the hardship I have experienced with the passing of my grandfather this past summer. The toughest and meanest man Ive ever known, helped and show me how to reduce my pain, cope with it, and sometimes alleviate it completely. or at sometimes not feel any at all. I Im pushing more and more every day to provide info my findings and perspective to many people of all ages about concerning pain issues and help to motivate them to change their lives for the better.
