Situation and Background (Between 300- 500 words) : We were getting lot of escalations due to delay of processing of EB invoices in ERP at times 4K invoices processing use to take more than 48 hours due to which there was a delay in payment of electricity bills. Legacy process was analyzed in detail with Rajasthan & Delhi circles and few changes were suggested to business which has no impact on their regular operations in fact reduced there activity on the forms which were developed in ERP. Due to minimal change performance was improved by more than 100 times and we were able to process 4K records in 30 -40 minutes. Finance FA team executes FA process for 16 circles which use to take at least 20 to 30 hrs, IT & finance team discussed the approach and a new process of soft close was implemented due to which data processing which use to happen on the month end now happens every day so month end process improved which helped early closure. ERP was facing lot of performance issues due to which user performance has got detiorated. Anjani had proactively planned a team who was monitoring round the clock for performance and also initiated few essential activities related to fine tuning of queries. He also spearheaded with Wipro & team on hardware capacity addition.

Customer & Team work:

We were facing major issues in Month end and we had created a team which identified the improvement points which can improve the performance of key processes. Anjani spearheaded task force consisted of ERP & Infra team which worked on all aspects of performance tuning & system level cleanups of applications. Internal customers (finance & SCM teams) were also contacted and were suggested to augment the processes which they were doing earlier to improve turnaround time. Due to his dedicated effort March.2013 yearend process was closed in time and no issues were faced during this period.
