Call for Papers
OBJECTIVE :-
The conference aims to provide a platform for researchers, practitioners in recognition of
the increasing flow of ideas, resources and knowledge. To review the quality of research
in the Library & Information science at different level and recommend strategies for
improving the quality of library science research.
PARTICIPANTS :-
It is open for all Librarians, Teaching faculty, Library staff, Post Graduate students and
those who are interested in research.
THEME OF THE EVENT :-
The theme of the National Seminar & Research Conference is “Library: a Temple of
Learning & Knowledge House”. It comprises of the following sub- themes:-
• Impact of Digital Environment on the today Libraries
• Role of Library in Modern Education
• Knowledge Management is key of success
• Online Services in different function in the Library
• Quality improvement should be available in the Library field
• Any other topic related to Library
GUIDELINE:-
Original contributions based on practice, theory to relate to the theme are invited for
presentation. All papers will go through a process of review and accepted papers will be
published in the GNIMS Research Journal. Authors should use Times New Roman with
12 point font in MS Word format with Double Space and should not exceed 3000 words.
Correspondence will be made with the Name, full address, email, fax, and phone number
should be clearly indicated.
REGISTRATION FEES :-
• Teaching Faculty/Corporate Delegates & Library Professionals:- Rs.1500/-
• Researchers (M.Phil & Ph.D.):- Rs.750/-
• Students ( LIS):- Rs.250/-
Cheque/ D.D. should be drawn in favour of “GNIMS” payable at Mumbai.

• Intimation of Acceptance of Abstract 1st March 2009

ABOUT THE GNIMS :-

Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies has marked an indelible effect

The Institute has an excellent Library stocked with latest edition of books,
reference materials, encyclopedias, periodicals and CD’s coving facts of
management. The Library is centrally air-conditioned, spacious and provides
the right ambience for studying. It has Standard Library Software SLIM ++
with WEB OPAC System. Institute has tied up with British Council Library
and American Information Resource Centre to share their literary resources
to benefit the user’s who are also invited for special screening and other
educational interactions.
