LUNCH, LEARN & PLAY FUNDING Plans are underway for the 2013 Lunch, Learn & Play summer enrichment program for area children at the Salem Courthouse Community Center. The six week program will commence on Monday, July 1 and run through Friday, August 9. Once again, the children will have the opportunity to participate in the American Red Cross swim program offered at Lake Lauderdale each morning returning to the CCC for a healthy, nutritious lunch and an afternoon filled with stimulating programs. There is no enrollment charge for LL&P, and the CCC is hard at work seeking the necessary funds to support this program. The organization was recently awarded $1,750 from the Stewarts Holiday Match. The CCC is grateful for this wonderful support knowing that it represents donations provided by community members as well as funding from the Stewarts Foundation. The CCC also has special events planned to raise additional funds for Lunch, Learn & Play. On Friday and Saturday, June 7 and 8, the CCC will host its second Salem Film Festival and Fashion Show starting at 7 pm. Chris Fronhofer and students from the Salem High School film club will premiere original short films. Following the films, there will be a fashion extravaganza under the direction of the talented Suzi Thomas. Both evenings will also feature a dessert auction as well. The proceeds from all events will support Lunch, Learn & Play. The CCC is located at 58 East Broadway directly across from the school.

Napaul Publishers, Inc. www.addigest.com PLANT SALE- The Battenkill Conservancy and The Saratoga Regional YMCA, Battenkill Branch will host a native plant sale on Saturday, May 4, 2013 in the YMCA parking lot at 184 Main Street. Emily & Chris DeBolt of Fiddlecreek Nursery located in Hartford, New York will offer a selection of their New York native plants and shrubs for sale and will be on hand to answer questions. The Battenkill Conservancy will offer additional information on how creating rain gardens and stream buffers using native plants can be used to reduce run off, protect stream corridors and improve water quality. Fiddlecreek Nursery will be offering a wide variety of native plants and small shrubs suitable for rain gardens and absorbing water due to excessive storm runoff. The Battenkill Conservancy has been promoting the use of native plants as stream buffers along the Battenkill and area roadways to help reduce the impact of large amounts of road salts that drain directly into area feeder streams and waterways. Properly designed and landscaped feeder ponds often include attractive rain gardens installed by the community as part of a municipalitys storm water management plan. The Battenkill Conservancy is hoping to establish an educational community rain garden to demonstrate the benefits of these types of projects and improve water quality one garden at a time. The native plant sale and rain garden information session will take place from 10 am to 1pm at 184 Main Street in Greenwich, NY. Tina, Its been four weeks since I bought my truck from Circle Motorcar. It is running great and looks even greater! No one can believe it is a 2005, it looks new. I wanted to drop you a few lines to let you know how much I appreciated the effort you went through to make sure my truck was perfect before I picked it up. When you said your first priority was making the customer happy, you werent kidding. I tell everyone I know to check you out because all your inventory looks so good. -Timothy Higgins
Thank you so much for the help with the truck. We didnt have to do anything! Phillip and Gail Wadsworth
