Seeking Volunteers for the 2013 Madhatters Ball

The Lookingglass Junior Board is seeking volunteers to join The Madhatter at his clandestine hideaway to kick off summer with the most unique fundraiser of the year. 600 affluent young professionals will enjoy cocktails, live entertainment, hors d'oeuvres, DJs, dancing, and a silent auction and raffle featuring once-in-a-lifetime prizes. Don your fedora, cloche, bowler, trilby or boater, whisper the password, draw back the velvet curtain, and enjoy a sophisticated evening of debauchery. All attendees must be 21 years of age or older. Attire is chic Chicago cocktail. Costumes are optional, but hats are recommended. Proceeds from The Madhatters Ball support Lookingglass Education and Community programs, which encourage creativity, teamwork and confidence for thousands of community members each year though theatre classes, drama camps, in-school artist residencies and subsidized arts programs. Volunteers are needed to assist with event setup, monitor silent auction tables, sell raffle tickets, clear trash during and after the event and more. All volunteers will be expected to work AT LEAST 2-3 hours, though there will be time to dance, eat and drink as well! Dinner will be provided.
