All tasks will be assessed by classroom activities. The students may refer only SMM7, issued drawings ant printed text books during the classroom activity. All measurement work should be based on the SMM 7. Each task should be on a fresh sheet of paper using one side only. Waste calculation is to be prepared in the appropriate place on the dimension sheet. Careful attention to be paid on method of reaching dimensions, waste calculations, accurate dimensions, entering the dimensions, clear and accurate work description with standard abbreviations, abstracting and billing techniques and cleanliness are essential in your work. If any dimension scaled from the drawing it should be indicated. Reasonable assumptions can be made where necessary and inserted them in the query sheet before starting the measurement work.

Assignment Brief The attached drawing No. 01 sent to you for preparation of a BOQ: Task 1 1.1. Take off quantities for form work and in-situ concrete of columns casings , beam casings and footings (P1, M1,M2,M3,D1,D2,D3) 1.2.Prepare bill pages for above measured work items (P2, M1,M2,M3,D1,D2,D3) 1.3. Prepare three preamble notes for each work section measured in task 1.1(P2) 1.4.Write a specification note for any one of the selected item of task 1, the specifications must relate to the given drawing (P2) All bill pages prepared in task1.2 must be word processed.
