This procedure defines the requirement for the preservation on site of gangway tower with jib crane. Package items shall be protected from corrosion, damage and theft during storage on site before installation as this procedure.

3. Determination of Appropriate Storage Area

Before unload packing items, storage area shall be determined to consider of term of storage and packing item size, external factors, etc. For example, wooden box packing items and small size coated items shall be preserved in warehouse for prevention of contamination. And heavy and big size packing items shall be preserved at the enough space with water proof cover for prevention of surface contamination. Packing items shall be unloaded and transported to determined storage area.

4.

Protection Method of Short term storage (Under the six month)

4.1 Prevention of aluminum and stainless steel items against contamination - Telescopic ladder and bulwark ladder - During shipment or handling, exposed surface of this item is contaminated by dust and water and salt, etc. So surface shall be cleaned before storage. - For protected against exposure to the atmosphere and dust during short term storage, this items shall be stored in warehouse as soon as possible. - If this item cant be stored at inside, it shall be covered by waterproof cover for protection.

4.2 Prevention of coated heavy weight item - Main steel structure, Jib boom, Cabin - During the disjoint of items for shipment, damaged coated surface shall be repaired before

shipment.

- During shipment or handling, exposed surface of item is contaminated by dust and water and salt, etc. So surface shall be cleaned and coated for prevention of rust before storage. - For protected against exposure to the atmosphere and dust during short term storage, this items shall be covered by waterproof cover for protection. - Also storage area shall be far away from seawater for prevention of salt.

4.3 Prevention of coated non heavy weight item - Inclined ladder, Lifter, Platform, etc - During the disjoint of items for shipment, damaged coated surface shall be repaired before shipment. - During shipment or handling, exposed surface of item is contaminated by dust and water and salt, etc. So surface shall be cleaned and coated for prevention of rust before storage. - For protected against exposure to the atmosphere and dust during short term storage, this items shall be stored in warehouse as soon as possible. - If this item cant be stored at inside, it shall be covered by waterproof cover for protection. - Also storage area shall be far away from seawater for prevention of salt.

4.4 Wooden box package items - During the disjoint of items for shipment, damaged coated surface shall be repaired before packing. - All wooden box package items are packed with a desiccant in box during packing. - For protected against exposure to the atmosphere and water during short term storage, this items shall be stored in warehouse.

4.5 vinyl wrapped package items - Electric panels, greasing parts, etc - All vinyl wrapped electric panels are packed with a desiccant in waterproof panels before shipment. For protected against surface damage and dust during short term storage, this items shall be wrapped again. All greasing parts shall be greased and wrapped again.
