Exam Tips: 1. Stick to PMBOK ONLY. 2. Set a timetable to study PMBOK daily 1 knowledge area OR take 2 weekends off and dedicatedly study all. 3. At first glance, whiz through the PMBOK and no need to read it just have a look whats inside before starting. 4. Once started, take brief notes on a heavy notepad/notebook so you can jot down important concepts instead on highlighting on the PMBOK Hard copy. 5. Take notes like Formulae, Important relationships, key factor causes, DO's and DONT's and all aspects that significantly affect the Life of a Project as questions are based like that. 6. Hard-Copy of PMBOK is preferred. 7. After each knowledge Area, complete and time your MCQ's taking ability with Sample Questions related to it only 8. Fill in the ITTO table without looking back, just once. 9. Dont go into the nitty gritty detailed text in beignning rather focus on the important techniques and how they are used. 10.Be careful while reading and make sure you give a full read to highlight important concepts stuck in between the text. 11.NO need to be scared of formulae, the Cost Mgmt questions are merely asked from basic CPI, SPI, CV, sv mostly. 12.Precedence Diagramming and CPM are critical to understand. 13.Project vs. Product comparison is necessary to understand. 14.Chapt 2 is very Important from Exam point of view, most students are stuck there too. 15.In Quality, make sure you KNOW all types of charts, techniques. 16.You must understand difference between PO,RFI,RFQ,Tender,RFB and when and how they are used. 17.You must know which Contract type is used when and where. Typical questions. 18.MUST understand difference between Scope Statement, WBS, Deliverables, Validated and Accepted Devlirables flowchart etc. 19.Influence of Stakeholder,PM,EEF,Organisation is a tricky question always. 20.DONT waste time on memorizing the Inputs & Outputs but rather the TT's are necessary. 21.Making a Process Group Table and Formualae table at start exam always helps. You have enough time for that. 22.You CAN expect scenario based questions so prepare each Process group using a scenario/example. 23.Best suggestion is that you take a sample Project in beginning and carry it throughout your study. Best way to Learn 24.Use of Flash Cards is a good way to memorize stuff. 25.Make sure you dont miss out on Risk Assessment, it always has scenario type questions, e.g Buyer-Seller highest and lowest risk conditions. 26.Make sure you have your Original Lisence/CNIC with your

current signature else you would have to reschedule when you reach a prometric center. My Method of Study: 1. 2. 3. 4. One thorough study of PMBOK was enough but i recommend twice. Oliver Lehmann Practice Questions are more than enough for practice. Flashcards for ITTO's but no need to waste too much time on it. Group Discussions and Feedback with CAPMers on Different concepts/Topics on Linked Groups that are VERY ACTIVE. 5. Total 5 days of study on weekends plus 2 days before exam just revising and givign practice MCQ's 6. After a Training Session you can give exam within 10 days max easily. 7. Prinout of important Processes Flowcharts.
