Take the Work Permit Clean the equipment Drain Water and Oil from BP Remove the instrument probe Remove the all pipe connections Decouple the Coupling

WORK INSTRUCTION PROCEDURE:

If a disassembly of the pump is required for cleaning or replacing of the pump Parts proceed in the following way:

Dismantling of Pump
1. 2. Disconnect electrical supply to the motor. Remove the suction and discharge piping.

Remove the coupling guard Decouple the bolts with the motor and remove coupling spacer. Drain the lubricating oil from bearing housing. Remove the pump Casing bolts Remove staffing box along with impeller. Remove impeller lock nut from shaft with proper spanner. Remove the Impeller, Shaft sleeve, casing wear rings & Impeller from the shaft. Inspect all the dismantled parts of pump.

Assembling Of Pump 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. Before assembly clean all parts & check for any abnormality, if required replaces them. Put the sleeve on the shaft Put the Impeller & casing wear ring Fit the Pump assembly on base frame & tightened the bolts. Fit the Coupling hub on the shaft. Connect suction & discharge piping Align the pump with the prime mover & couple. Refill & check the lubricating oil in the bearing housing. Fix coupling guard of the system.

10. Trial run of pump. 11. Return of PTW after successful trial run.

OHSAS Ensure PPE, Helmet, adequate lighting near the work place. Ensure the lifting tools are in adequate condition. Ensure proper earthing of the equipment / area of work as the case may be. Ensure healthiness & safety of the entire activities with respect electrical system.

QUALITY All the parameters, activities are maintained within prescribed limit. Any deviation from the norm is recorded and corrective action is taken accordingly.
