The abbrevations given in the design calculation have to be understood as "provable stress as a result of load case...". 4.2 DESIGN OF ULTIMATE LIMIT STATE

The ultimate limit state is to be designed assuming for a single-span panel ("wrinkling"-hinges over the supports). All spans in multi-span panels are treated and tested as single-span panels. Each load combination is calculated with consideration to the system and load details. The printout shows the relevant place and the relevant load combination. 4.2.1 Design of limited normal stresses in face layers Determining: design of the compressionstress in the upper face layer at span 1 at load case combination

4.2.2 Design of the limited shear stress in the core material Determining: design of at the support 1 at load case combination

4.3

DESIGN OF SERVICEABILITY LIMIT STATE

The serviceability limit state is to be designed at the entire system in accordance with the standard. The different partial safety factors according to the technical approval need to be taken into account. 4.3.1 Design of limited normal stresses in face layers For this panel, the limit wrinkling strength at the intermediate support depends on the number of screws per metre. The designs were only made with the basic limited values neglecting any reduction factors. Notice: the limited wrinkling stresses need to be calculated again after choosing the fasteners (see accompanying standard). Determining: design of the compressionstress in the upper face layer at span 1 at load case combination
= U * w + S,SLS * 0, S,SLS * S,SLS wA, > 20C, span ? / = wA, span

= 1.0 * -55.5 + 1.0 * 0.60 * 0.0000 = -55.5 N/mm2 < -105.7 N/mm2 / 1.05 = -100.7 N/mm2

4.3.2 Design of the limited shear stress in the core material Determining: design of at the support 1 at load case combination
Y = U * Yw + S,SLS * 0, S,SLS * YS,SLS fCv,k / = fCv,d

Y = 1.0 * 0.0192 + 1.0 * 0.60 * 0.0000 = +0.0192 N/mm2 < 0.0530 N/mm2 / 1.09 = 0.049 N/mm2

DEFLECTIONS

4.5.1 Design of deflections The design of deflections is made with following assumptions (in accordance with EN 14509): span-deflections: - at short-term: max w = l / 100 Determining is the deflection at span 1 with the sum
w = U * 0, w * 1, w * ww + E * 1, * w max w = 625.0 cm / 100 = 6.25 cm w = 1.0 * 0.60 * 0.75 * 3.08 + 1.0 * 1.0 * 2.36 = 3.75 cm < 6.25 cm

4.6

FASTENERS

4.6.1 Design of the maximum deflection for screw heads The screw head-deflections are designed in accordance with the recommendation of the ECCS. exist. u = T * (A + ) / 2 * max. l / 2 =... ...= 70K * (1.20E-5 + 1.20E-5) / 2 * 6250 / 2 = 2.63 mm zul. u = 33.00 mm

4.6.2 Design of tensile forces The number of the required/chosen fasteners rely on the panel-width. Close attention must be paid to requirements of the basic calculation principle (screw-distance and -number etc.)! panel-width: 1000 mm in accordance with explicit user definition
