Before you begin, make sure you have downloaded the Colorgate installers for version 6.33 and 7.00 You can download the software now by using the following URLs within a web browser: Version Version 6 6 Link: Link: http://db.tt/isoJmXVH http://db.tt/isoJmXVH Version 7 Link: Version 7 Link: http://db.tt/odVgsZeE http://db.tt/odVgsZeE

.cos backup
Create a folder named Colorgate Backup on the desktop of your local PC Within Production Server 6, click Printer / Save as. Save the .cos le to the Colorgate Backup folder on the desktop *You will need to do this for each printer The .cos is the Colorgate driver le that contains all of your previously made hotfolders and printer connections.

MIM backup

Click Options / MIM Administration.

Click Export MIM Files / Next

Check the All box listed to the right of Media / Next

Select Browse / then save the .cmp les in the Colorgate Backup folder. Be sure the name of the le identi es the currently selected printer, then click Next / Finish

*You will need to do this for each printer

Before you continue, make sure that you have received version 7 keycodes for your Colorgate dongle Install Production Server 6 build 6.33, and Production Server 7
Launch the downloaded .exe les PS6 SetupV6.33 and PS7Setup7.00 Use the default settings during install, do not change the install location

Colorgate PS7 will be installed into the above directory. When both installs are complete open Production Server 7

Update Dongle to V7

Click Open Keycode. Locate and open the keycode you have received from Colorgate, it will have a .cky extension

Click Options / Update Dongle...

Verify that the Keycode you have opened contains the correct Device Drivers, Modules And Features, and is Version 7 If a new keycode is missing a feature that is available with your current version 6 setup, do not update the keycode and contact your local Fuji lm sales representative. If the codes are correct Click Update Attached Key / End Program Colorgate will prompt you to restart, for now choose not to restart.

Program Settings

Click Options / Program Settings... Click General / Change Units to Inches

While still in Program Settings, click on the Performance tab If your keycodes have included the Adobe PDF Print Engine, you can con gure it to be oating for all licensed printers by selecting the box next to Use vacant xed RIP licenses as oating Click OK and restart the software

Con guring your Printers

Desktop / Colorgate Backup

Click Printer / Open Browse to the Colorgate Backup folder on your desktop, then open each printer you saved from version 6

Click Options / MIM Administration.

Click Import MIM Files / Next

Open the cmp le for the printer you currently have selected

Check the All box listed to the right of Media / Next

Colorgate has now been updated to version 7 All opened jobs from PS6 will now be open within PS7. If for some reason you need to revert back to PS6 you can do so

Leave the default settings as Overwrite / click Next *You will need to do this for each printer
