May 5 Psychosocial Support Program
May 6 – 7 Accident Prevention
May 8 – 9 Basic Rope Rescue
May 11 – 15 Basic Swimming/Water Safety and Rescue
May 16 – 17 One-mile Swim
May 20 Graduation

Fee: Php 1,000.00/package

Additional charges for:


o Swimming Course Php 500.00/pax
Swimming pool venue is at Gregorio Araneta University Foundation (GAUF)
* Courses are on a “FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS “

PARTICIPANTS MUST SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING:

a. Medical certificates form duly signed by a licensed physician


b. Parental consent for those below 18 years of age
c. The Red Cross will provide training manuals and triangular bandages for participants in
First Aid and Basic Life Support – CPR Training.
d. Participants must be willing to abide by all training rules and regulations

COURSE REQUIREMENT:

Standard First Aid & Basic Life Support Training - 13 years old and above

Accident Prevention - 13 years old and above

Swimming & Water Safety Courses - at least 7-15 y/o for beginners swimming
- FA and BLS COC’s (ID) holder for not more
than 6 months from the date of issue for the
Swimmers and Basic Water Safety & Rescue
Courses
(age 15y/o and above)

Home Nursing (Mother & Baby Care) - 13y/o and above; open to all
Home Nursing (Care for the Sick & Injured) - 13y/o and above; open to all
Basic Disaster Management - 18y/o and above; open to all
HAPE/DAPE - 13y/o and above; open to all
Disaster Nursing - At least 4th year nursing student or BSN
graduate.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

First Aid & Basic Life Support Training The courses aim to train an individual to face
emergencies with confidence and to care for the
injured and person suddenly taken ill.
Accident Prevention : Home Safety The course aims to instill safety consciousness
and minimize, if not totally prevent accidents at
home
Water Safety (Swimming and Life Saving) These courses aim to make an individual
scientifically learn the different styles of
swimming, survival swimming skills and
methods of saving a drowning person. These also
aim to develop water safety consciousness among
swimmer.
Home Nursing The objective of the course is to Safeguard health
1. Care for the Sick and Injured and ensure safer homes by developing the ability
2. Mother and Baby Care to give intelligent care to members of the family
in times of illness and emergencies as well as
under normal conditions.
Standard Disaster Management The course discusses the hazards, natural and
man-made calamities and ways of preventing,
mitigating disasters and preparation before
disaster strikes.
HAPE / DAPE HAPE: The course aims to provide educational
information regarding HIV/AIDS and provide
alternative means and ways of minimizing if not
totally preventing disease transmission.
DAPE: The course tackles the different prohibited
drugs and its short and long-term effects on the
individual. Provides possible activities for drug
dependent individuals.
Disaster Nursing The course was designed to provide students and
professional nurses the knowledge, skills, and
attitude needed in rendering essential nursing
management effectively during the pre-disaster,
disaster, and post-disaster phase.
