The Government of India sanctioned a Scheme National Project for Repair, Renovation & Restoration (RRR) of Water Bodies with Domestic Support- 2009 with an objective to restore and augment storage capacities of water bodies so as to recover and extend their lost irrigation potential and also water reservers for domestic & livelihood needs. The Scheme has been approved for the State of Orissa in 21 districts covering Tribal area; Naxal affected area and Drought prone area. The project got Govt. of India grant at 90 :10 sharing basis for improvement of about 1800 Minor Irrigation schemes at an estimated cost of Rs. 600.00 crore. The Govt. of India grant amounting to Rs. 72.00 Cr has been released to the state during March 2010 in the first phase. The project period is for three years starting at 2010. 2. Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) / Civil Society Organizations having legal recognition under the constitution of India as a Society, Trust or any other legal entity engaged in rural development activities who can provide services for attaining the objectives of the project through a baseline survey are eligible for this purpose. 3. The objective of selection of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) is to prepare a baseline survey and capacity building of the stake holders of the command villages of the tank projects that comes under the R.R & R scheme. 4. The assignment will be for the period of 16 (sixteen) months with provision of remunerations as per the financial outlay under R.R&R scheme. The NGOs are to prepare Schedules and do a baseline survey of all the households in the command villages that comes under an individual tank project. The Executive Engineer, Minor Irrigation Division, Dhenkanal on behalf of Governor of Orissa invites eligible Non-Governmental Organizations to express their interest in providing the Services for baseline survey in the command villages of 28 Minor Irrigation projects in Dhenkanal district. Interested agencies must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the Services as per the Format for NGO profile available in the website: www.dowrorissa.gov.in., www.orissa.gov.in & www.Dhenkanal.nic.in. 5. The Non-Governmental Organizations may submit Expression of Interest for any or all the following packages. 9 (Nine) Nos. of M.I. Projects (1783) Ha approximately within M.I. Projects (1423) Ha approximately within M.I.Sub-Division, Kamakhyanagar. iv. Package-043 (Three) Nos. of M.I. Projects (1688) Ha approximately within M.I.Sub-Division, Bhuban. 6.
