PROPOSAL Abstract This is a proposal for a book that relates to one of the three careers I researched. The career I chose to research was Investor Relations Manager. The book I found that related to this career was Bossy Pants by Tina Fey. This book relates because it talks about how Tina Fey made it in the business world. This book also refers to the people skills necessary to make it in the business world. This relates to my chosen career because knowing all these necessary skills will help me to decide whether or not I would like to do this job. It would be helpful to already know what I would like to do, so that I can be volunteering in this field. Volunteering in my chosen field would help me to get into one of the best colleges in my chosen major. This book will be especially helpful because I will be able to start using the skills Tina Fey writes about now. This skills can help me to get important internships, and other important that can help me get into one of the best colleges. This proposal talks about the deliverables and budget of my project.

PROPOSAL Project Proposal for Bossy Pants Introduction For my book proposal, I would like to read the book Bossy Pants by Tina Fey. The career I am researching by reading this book is Investor Relations Manager. This book would help me to further research the career of Investor Relations Manager because it is about how Tina Fey made it in the business world. This relates to Investor Relations Manager because in this job I would be working hard to make it in the business world. Also in the job of Investor Relations Manager you have to have very good people skills, and this book also touches on people skills in the business world. I think that reading this book will help me to know the qualifications I need to be a successful Investor Relations Manager. Deliverables While Reading Assignment. The while reading assignment I propose is for me to annotate while I read, and analyze important quotes about how Tina Fey made it in the business world. This will help me because I will be able to refer to these notes whenever I need them. The due-date for this assignment will be March 1st, 2013. After Reading Assignment. The after reading assignment I propose is for me to write a paper (at least two pages typed, double spaced, times new roman 12 pt. font) that analyzes the book, and the application of the book in my career research. The due-date for this assignment will be March 14th, 2013. Budget The budget of this project is $16. The book Bossy Pants costs $15 at Books a Million (where I will buy it), and the $16 allows for tax. The money will come from my parents.

Closing Remarks This project relates to my career because this book I will be reading talks about how to make it in the business world. The book also refers to the correct people skills that are expected in the business world. The information I will learn from this book, and the assignments I proposed will help me to decide whether or not I have what it takes in work in a business setting.
