Tapping on snare begins during recorded pre-show music (CUE = CAROLINE) Synth and cymbals begin as Ariel becomes visible, some steel cello rumbles Transition to floor tom and kick drum as mast rises All get louder with mast rising Volume down slightly as dialogue begins but maintain tension Volume up as mariners exit, loud tapping on sides of kick and tom Volume down slightly as Prospera appears Steel cello, kick and tom cut out (CUE = BE COLLECTED. NO MORE AMAZEMENT.) Synth fades out Finger tapping fades out

Ferdinands Song

Resume Ferdinands Song as Ariel, Prospera, Ferdinand, and Miranda exit (CUE = COME, FOLLOW. SPEAK NOT FOR HIM.) Gradually fade out as Gonzalo and the Lords enter

Thunder
Moonlight, Brandi, Alysha SOUNDS: Finger tapping on snare, rumbles of thunder on steel cello and kick drum 1. 2. 3. Rumbles on steel cello as scene begins and Caliban enters Quiet rumbles on steel cello, kick drum, and finger tapping on snare continue throughout scene Fade out gradually at end of scene (CUE = BRAVE MONSTER, LEAD THE WAY!)

Lullaby (Waking) Song

Synth and percussion begins as Ariel enters (CUE = SEBASTIAN O BUT ONE WORD) Pattern continues as Ariel sings Fade very quickly as Gonzalo wakes (CUE = NOW GOOD ANGELS PRESERVE THE KING)

Happy Cover Music
Bella, Annalie, Moonlight, Megan, Brandi, Alysha, Taylor SOUNDS: Synth 054, bouncy flute pattern on keyboard, responsive pattern on actual flute, clarinet and viola move in thirds, more rhythmic tapping from percussion (less ambient) 1. 2. 3. 4. Synth begins as lords exit (CUE = ARIEL GO SAFELY ON TO SEEK THY SON) Viola joins, followed by clarinet, then flute Percussion is added soon after with a steady rhythm Fade out as scene begins with Ferdinand collecting wood

Harpy
Ellie, Annalie, Moonlight, Megan, Brandi, Taylor, Alysha SOUNDS: Synth 171, eerie pattern on synth, mimicked by viola, ominous tones from clarinet, very steady and slow rhythm from percussion in regular pattern, interrupted by harpy with rumbles of thunder and cacophony of sound, which quiets again as harpy exits 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. Synth pattern begins (CUE = LET IT BE TONIGHT) Viola and kick drum add in as Prospera appears Snare adds in after Prospera exits Tom adds in as spirits appear Clarinet adds ominous tones Steel cello crashes in as loudly as possibly as Ariel enters, all instruments at max volume (CUE = STAND TO AND DO AS WE) Final crash of thunder as Ariel exits (CUE = THEE OF THY SON ALONSO THEY HAVE BEREFT) Steel cello, tom, kick, and snare cut out when rumble dies Synth, clarinet, and viola continue softly for a few more lines and then gradually fade out

Rumbles of thunder on steel cello and floor tom (CUE = PRITHEE FOLLOW) All instruments resume Harpy music briefly Cut out when house lights come up

Harpy (Reprise)
Ellie, Annalie, Moonlight, Megan, Brandi, Taylor, Alysha SOUNDS: Synth 171, very short version of the Harpy Song to scare off Trincula, Stephanos, and Caliban 1. 2. All come in loudly as Ariel enters (CUE = GO TO, CARRY THIS AND THIS AY, AND THIS) Fade out as Trincula, Stephanos, and Caliban run off stage

V.i
Circle of Fire
Megan, Moonlight, Alysha SOUNDS: Synth 170 Fire Wire, simple ominous pattern on synth, very low thumping on kick drum, with either screeching or rumbling on steel cello 1. 2. All fade in quickly as Prospera begins to draw the circle with her staff All fade out quickly when she finishes

V.i
Prosperas Melody
Annalie, Moonlight, Megan, Taylor SOUNDS: Synth 188, solemn melody on synth with simple pattern on viola and clarinet and steady thumping on kick drum 1. 2. 3. Kick drum will start (CUE = ILL DROWN MY BOOK) Synth comes in, followed soon by clarinet, and then viola All cut out quickly so that Ariel has silence to sing (CUE = QUICKLY, SPIRIT, THOU SHALT ERE LONG BE FREE)

Ariels Freedom
Megan, Moonlight SOUNDS: Synth 174, haunting chord with some tapping on the cymbals, very short 1. 2. All begin as Ariel is freed (CUE = THEN TO THE ELEMENTS BE FREE, AND FAR THOU WELL) Gently fade out
