About Us
We are disciples of Jesus passionate about making more disciples in this world. We are preparing to move to Bangkok, Thailand to work with the Somprasong 4 Church of Christ as missionaries. Were ages 28 (Gary) and 31 (Michelle) and have been married now for 4 years. We believe that God has been preparing us our whole lives to do foreign mission work. Missions and discipleship have been a central part of our lives for many years. Michelle grew up as a missionary kid living in Moscow, Russia for 5 years. Our most recent ministry has been with the Mt. Carmel Church of Christ in Illinois where Gary has served as the Youth Minister for the past four years.

We have over 10 years of ministry experience. We both served as apprentice missionaries through the Adventure In Missions (AIM) program. Gary in Bangkok, Thailand; Michelle in Okinawa, Japan. Gary studied missions at Sunset International Bible Institute (SIBI). Gary worked for 2 years with AIM training young adults for missions.

We have grown a strong heart for the lost of Asia through our ministry experiences. Bangkok is a city in dire need of the gospel with a population of 15,000,000 people and only an estimated 700 members of the Church of Christ. Thailand is 90% Buddhist and 8.5% Muslim, With less than 1% Christian adherents, the far majority of its people have never heard the good news of Jesus . Having lived in Bangkok before, Gary was able to learn the Thai language and has a good understanding of the customs and culture of Thailand. Being such a large world city, Bangkok is a key gateway city to this part of the world and is full of possible outreach opportunities.

Working with Somprasong 4

The elders of the Somprasong 4 Church of Christ have invited us to work with their congregation for a minimum of a year. Our primary focus will be to help them form a college outreach in Bangkok. While in Bangkok we will be involved in:

Volunteering at local universities teaching English Teaching their English speakers Bible class Working with small group ministry Personal discipleship and evangelism

Long Term Timeframe

Our long term goal is to do church planting in Asia. We see our ministry working with Somprasong 4 Church of Christ as a great opportunity to transition into work in Asia. While living in Thailand we will continue networking with other missionaries and church leaders in East Asia, and will conduct survey trips to Japan and Malaysia on our mandatory visa runs. Visiting these places will help us determine which one of these three places we will conduct long term mission work. Knowing that this region is among the most unreached in the world is something that we simply cannot ignore. We look forward to seeing what God has in store for us as we seek to expand the Kingdom of Christ discipling others in Asia.

Focused prayer and planning: Field research and survey trip (April 12) to Bangkok. Support raising: Currently underway (see back to find out how to help). Bangkok, Thailand: Working with Somprasong 4 from 2013-2014. Survey trips: Conducted on mandatory visa runs to Japan and Malaysia. Early 2014 choosing location for long term missions. Long term goal: By early 2015 we hope to begin long term mission work in Asia.
