Guideline for SWAP indoor

Indoor means: there is a room or a shelter provided with power -48V, battery backup and power lightening protection No need for Huawei to provide additional battery backup For SRAN modernization Macro Indoor BTS3900L shall be used Special cases In case of lack of enough space in height Macro Indoor BTS3900 shall be used. Note in case RF moduels > 6, 2 BTS3900 shall be used with 1 BBU If case BTS3900 is already installed and 2nd BTS3900 cabinet is needed a stacked solution shall be installed; in case of lack of space in height side by side solution shall be used In case of lack of enough footprint split DBS3900 indoor could be used with ad hoc installation.
SWAP with RRU split GU solution (feeders loss with Macro BTS > 4dB and improvement RRU is at least 1.5dB) 1 BBU3900 is installed indoor and controls UMTS RRU and GSM RRU installed in outdoor

Guideline for SWAP outdoor

Outdoor means: there is no room, power 380V AC For SRAN modernization Macro outdoor BTS3900A shall be used 2 hours Battery backup is provided by IBBS200D Lightening protection is provided by SLPU In case of RF modules more than 6, 2 BTS3900A cabinets (2 APM30H+ 2 RFC + 2 IBBS200D) shall be used with 1 BBU In case of lack of enough space use split outdoor DBS3900 (that is APM30H+IBBS200D) should be analyzed

SWAP with RRU split GU solution (feeders loss with Macro BTS > 4dB and improvement RRU is at least 1.5dB) 1 BBU3900 is used (installed in APM30H cabinet) and controls UMTS RRU and GSM RRU Each APM30H+IBBS200D cabinet can support maximum 6 RRU No RFC cabinet needed

Swap GSM with Macro BTS3900L existing APM100 shall be maintained for Power distribution of UMTS RRU and battery backup The distance between new GSM cabinet and APM100 should be reduced to minimize cabling 1 BBU3900 is used (installed in new GSM cabinet) for GU and it is shared for UMTS RRU and GSM MRFU Swap existing UMTS RRU with new RRU3806 WBBPd2 shall be provided with optical SFP (for RRU) Fiber cables from UMTS RRU shall be connected to new BBU3900 if exisitng fibers are not enough new fibers shall be provided. Existing SPBC shall be removed and UMTS trasmission cables shall be rerouted to new SLPU-BBU3900 Monitoring cables from existing APM100 shall be connected to new BBU3900. For all other issues please refer to Guideline for SWAP indoor GSM SWAP with RRU split GU solution (feeders loss with Macro BTS > 4dB and improvement RRU is at least 1.5dB) 1 BBU3900 is used (installed in indoor DBS cabinet) and controls existing UMTS RRU and GSM RRU Power distribution to UMTS RRU and GSM RRU shall be provided by DCDU-03B Fiber cables from UMTS RRU shall be connected to new BBU3900 if existing fibers are not enough new fibers shall be provided. Note: Applicability of above solution must be evaluated during site survey. Alternative solution can be: 1. 2. 3. move GSM outdoor (refer to Guideline for SWAP outdoor) move UMTS indoor (refer to Guideline for SWAP indoor) swap BBU3806 with BBU3900 in APM100 and use new BTS3900L only for GSM swap.
